I really wish every Potter out fan would listen to this. Doesn’t get any better as a first hand source to see the benefits his strategy will reap than from a senior pro who understands why he’s surplus to requirements. Not an ounce of bitterness shown and full backing for the methods.

You can hear the entire/ full length commentary from Spurs / Albion on Sunday with Glenn as a (rather good) pundit.
best bit - him trying to be as diplomatic as possible when asked if he'd put that cross from March away that Maupay glanced wide.

PS: it annoyingly cuts out with about 1 minute to go !! Spoiler alert -

we won.

Glad he mentioned howlers to show I wasn't going mad. My memory of Sanchez playing for the U23s was a great shot stopper with a howler in him. Admittedly based on just a handful of U23 streams but he is unrecognisable now as the confident, calm player he currently looks.

Unfortunately it seems that whether TV or radio, documentary or otherwise all programs HAVE to have bone jarring highly annoying background noise (hesitate to call it music!). I expect it's to attract the Yoof demographic.

That was The Amex PA system.

So calm, he doesn't look bothered. Like an android. Love it.

I am even more excited about Sanchez after listening to that, praise indeed from Glenn. Sanchez then went on to make a couple of very good and crucial saves too. I am sure the defenders confidence has shot up with him behind them. He looks 90% unflappable so far too.

Little snippets like that from Glenn about Sanchez just goes to show how true the 'you don't know what is going on in training' mantra is. So maybe we should remember that next time GP decides what balls are going into his game cage

Glenn is made for role in the media, well informed, erudite and quite funny.

Big thumbs up.

He's pretty good isn't he? Which I still find a little strange as I always remember him having this kind of shy, quiet guy persona.

I'd love to ask him about this.

At his first time at the club, he had a reputation of being a loner - not socialising with players, or even celebrating promotions.

Was that BS? And/or has he changed?

I think it might have been true at the time. His first wife left him to go back up north. He also had a series of groin operations because they weren't successful, having to go to Germany to get one that worked. He put in a transfer request.
His second marriage to a local woman, has helped him enormously.

In case you missed it, following Hugo Rune's recommendation, here's an excellent interview by Glenn singing the praises of Brighton before the Spurs game on national radio.

Glenn talking about the Albion is from 22m20secs to 30m50secs

Thanks for bouncing this into a thread, everyone should to listen to it. . made me listen again too! In my mind, our young players with the most potential were Lamptey, Bissouma and White. Glenn has put me right on that now!

Great chat – Glenn's a top fella.

Clearly he – like GP – rates Sanchez VERY highly!

Do you remember the video of the changing room (portacabin) celebrations after promotion from L1? Everyone going mental, jumping up and down, Calde, Bennett, Ashley Barnes et al celebrating wildly with Poyet. Then there was Glenn quiet at the back.

Enjoyed that, Glenn is good on the mic and expresses thoughts and ideas well.
Future career maybe, shame about the background noise, very off putting.

I am sure I heard another little nugget when Glenn spoke about the new players coming and saying they turned down 30 million for Ben White.

Great listen and segment from Glenn, wish him all the best in his stint at Forest but also mainly as a pundit, I think he's superb.

Just highlights the job and achievements Graham has done since coming in and solidifies my support for the man. Also makes me proud to think a little over 10 years ago we had some small time players at a running track stadium, to now, where we're turning down transfer requests that could cost more than the Withdean!
