I am one of those blinded by man love

All I really want is a manager who gets us playing decent football, shows a bit of passion, has some charisma, represents our club well, has an plan and the balls to carry it through. Just someone I feel I can get behind.

RDZ ticks all these boxes. I love having him here and will be very disappointed when he leaves.
Likewise, but I was disappointed when Potter left. Didn't last long

Don’t think salary is the problem
Maybe not. If it's matching expectation then RDZ knew full well our position before he joined only a short time ago. As Barber has alluded he is pushing everyone in the club beyond our imagined progression.

We are all aware that a few additions would have been great in Jan but alas not to be.

This summer will be very interesting as a lot of big clubs will need to off load to buy. We do not need to sell and for one of our "stars" to move on we would demand a fee unlikely to be matched or compromised. I believe we will keep our best players but can see a number of fringe players going freeing up wages.

Indeed, Lallana moving to the back room staff, Milner to pastures new or just out to pasture, not sure which.
Webster, Peupion, Kozlowski, Undav, Sima, Alzate, Sarimento, Dahoud, plus a few youngsters I have forgotten about all command a fee.

We had 11 first team players out and are getting them back now. The 11 that covered and the 11 that came in are supposed to be dumped for 3 new players. He knew we had players coming back very soon, so he is being a silly little boy if he throws his toys out of the pram over not buying anyone.
And, we are in the last 16 of Europa League, last 16 of FA Cup and 7th in the Premier league whilst those 11 were out. I think the club and Bloom have it right.

Whatever club he goes to it won’t be as organised as ours is behind the scenes. Hopefully he realises this but the shiny light on the hill was irresistible to Potter. The good news is that TB and Barber know just how fickle the people they have to deal with really are.

I can see that Barcelona are trying the soft power bullshit to try and unsettle; BUT, if he has a start for them like he did with us, they'll want rid within half a season!
If I was in DeZ's position, I'd wait and see how the season unfolds before committing anywhere. All the announced departures for the merry-go-round are for the summer, so at least we should have him until the end of this season.
I think only getting into the CL would keep him here, unfortunately.
All the top clubs in Italy (except Inter IMO) would have him and be able to offer CL for next season, even if we get into Europa League again.

His start with us wasn’t that bad, after the first 5 games that we’re a clear bedding in period we lost something like 3 of the next 22 and we won avast majority of those games too. If he does move he’d surely have a pre season to make sure his system beds in. And in theory the better players Barcelona have at their disposal should pick up the RDZ way even quicker than our players did.

But that would involve those Barca players doing a bit of graft. I’m not convinced that all groups of players are both capable and prepared to play Zerbiball.

I know one thing whatever happens I'm seeing some of the very best attacking football I've ever seen anyone play let alone Brighton and Hove Albion, the young fans are now hooked for life securing the future of the club and without doubt RDZ is unique and will be sought after by the very biggest teams in the world and rightly so.

I just have a feeling he will stay at least another season unless the Italy manager role becomes available which I'd be surprised he could turn that down.

Just enjoy the wonderful football for as long as we can, nothing lasts forever except the CPFC plans for a new bike shed.

That’s what I said but I didn’t get 1 like not 1, do you know what that does to a man’s ego ? Life’s not fair 😔

At the end of the day, I feel he is a loyal person, and even if he does go, which is a strong possibility I no doubt he will give his all for the rest of the season.

Life is too short to worry about, let's enjoying the ride.
This. He certainly ain't in the Potter mould. He has principles and respects the players and vice versa. Potter, when push
came to shove, didn't give a shit about anyone but himself.

And of course, he did get Barco, now training with the first team

If RDZ was offered Barcelona during the season he’d be gone in a flash. You’re deluded to think otherwise.

Don't agree. He wouldn't walk out on us. You don't understand people if you think otherwise.
Agreed, and why do they need him now 13 games to go, 8 points behind, he would be on a hiding to nothing joining now.
Especially what we have to aim for and himself to add to a his CV.

“I don’t understand people” 😁. I’ve been on this site under many guises and that is by far the best reply I’ve ever had. Keep on keeping on young man 😂
