I am taking the kids (2 and 5) plus wifey to watch CBeebies at the Brighton Centre tomorrow.

My question for my learned friends of NSC is what is the best kiddy friendly restaurant in Brighton? We will be going after the show and before travelling back to Guildford.

Like most of us on here I trust the advise of my fellow NSC'ers (except US tips:yahoo:)

I look forward to your recommendation. Thanks

Nearly all pizza places are child friendly.

Wagamama's has cute children's chopsticks which my daughter really likes.

We like Don Carlos tapas because the staff there genuinely seem to like kids and our kids love the food but that's personal taste.

Random tip: Make a note of the company that supplies the kiddy chopsticks to Wagamama and drop them a line asking where you can buy them as your daughter really likes them, and it would be great to have some at home for when you cook Eastern food. They'll then say that they're only sold wholesale and in the tens of thousands. Hopefully they will also, as they did for me, offer to send you some 'samples' and you'll get a couple of hundred pairs through the post.

I won't go in Don Carlos because of the way we were treated in there. We went when they weren't busy with our eldest son who was about 2 1/2. We were treated like lepers, shunted right to the back away from everyone else in the restaurant and very much made to feel we weren't welcome.

We walked out in the end because of their attitude.

Perhaps they were just sparing the paying adults from having to sit next to other people's children.

Blimey, someone else who has had the exact opposite experience at Casa Don Carlos to me - Questions feels like you do.

Every time I've been there, we've been treated superbly, waited on attentively and generally made to feel welcome - hence our regular return.

For experience, food quality and service (no snotty waiters that you regularly find in other places), I find it the best restaurant in Brighton bar none.

theres LOADS of tapas places up here (for some reason) and none of them come close to licking the shit from CDC's bumhole

I take it you don't have leprosy?? Because if you do that might explain it.

Blimey, that's the complete opposite to me. We went there once on a busy Saturday, had the last table and despite our buggy, bags of shopping and two hungry under-4s, treated us like kings.

We've been back since and they've always been really friendly, helpful and positively welcomed the kids.

Donatello is very child friendly.

I'd have to recommend AVOIDING Donatellos... Used to be great but the quality of the food has gone downhill and the last three times I've been there I've had terrible service... Once they took over an hour to bring our starter! Then the main course came stone cold after 2 1/2 hours...

I concur. Although I have never been there with kids.
