I merely clarified my first one (about the possibility of the inference from Simster's original post) .

Did I question that? No.

What I said WAS, and I'll say it again s-l-o-w-l-y for you, people were quick enough to pull me up when I didn't quote Yorkie to the letter, yet you were quite happy to accuse Simster of something that he blatantly didn't say.

Moving goalposts, maybe that wasn't the best analogy. Double standards then, how does that fit?

My point is that if we're going to get finicky about it, then we can't be taking some people by their exact word and others by what they may or may not infer.

No, BOLLOCKS. That CAN be called moving the goalposts. :salute: :jester:

The scarf idea was something I believe that originated in the minds of Wrexham fans to show thanks to Brighton fans for their help. I been following the Wrexham board and was aware of the idea but it may have passed a lot of people by here.

You might not agree with it, you may think it's a bit of an odd idea, you may hate the fact that some Brighton fans are willing to help another club. You have some personal issues with John Baine...

.. in any case, some well meaning guy in North Wales has run off a few scarves for Wrexham fans and offered them on here to see if anyone would like one.

To tell him his efforts are "shit" is a bit rude I think.

Good God this board has gone downhill recently. Buy a scarf if you want to. Don't if you don't want to or can't afford to like me.

All this talk of inference and whatever else from people's posts and not replying if you don't agree is quite frankly pathetic and IMO no-one comes out with any credit.

Personally, I also think they look a bit naff. But before I get flamed to high hell, let me qualify that by saying that my view should not affect anyone else's decision to buy them. There are only two reasons why I will not get one. Firstly they don't (in my opinion) look very good. And secondly (far more importantly) I just don't have the money!

And yes I would like very much for Wrexham to survive, in fact some people on here know just how ****ing hard I tried to get up to Wrexham but sadly from Exeter that turned out to just not be practical.

Simster's raised a valid point but instead of accepting his opinion you've forced your right wing shit upon us again, I bet you agree with brain washing you pseudo left winger.

For God's sake!

Does it matter whether the scarves look naff or not?

Surely it's the principle of the thing that matters?

And why are people coming on here and having a pop at Attila?

Surely he's one of the 'good guys'?

And all this talk about inference. I'm going to lie down in a dark room with a wet towel round my head, it's all too much for me...

Can I just thank Simster and Tooting for their ingenious marketing campaign - there is just no way I can't have one of these legendary scarves now :lolol: :lolol: :lolol: :lolol: :lolol:

Purchase made!!!!

I've noticed an undercurrent of opinion on NSC recently, and it is has perhaps been most often expressed by the likes of Rougvie and the Laughing Bluebird, that Fans United stuff represents intrinsically HOMOSEXUAL behaviour by football supporters.

It seems an odd view and perhaps rather schoolboyish nostalgia for the street-fighting days of the past, possibly.

Whether the Fans Utd "love-ins" lead to the death of healthily expressed aggression, vicious humour and confrontational mickey-taking, surely you just have to read this thread to realise there's no danger of that EVER happening :lolol: :lolol: :lolol: :lolol:

Good luck Wrexham!!!! :clap2: :clap2: :clap2: :clap2:

Sorry, but they look SHIT.

In all honesty i have to agree with simster on this. Some people on this board get so het up on a point of view that is not particularly that upsetting unless you have the mind of a four year old child. As people have also stated BHA are in deep trouble so maybe it would be worth putting the money into OUR club and not Wrexham (who i hope get through the shit they are going through). And relax.........

What a weird interpretation......

My take on the Fans United stuff is that, although it is harmless and the people involved obviously mean well, it is also essentially useless. Simple as that really.

I believe there are others who think that Albion fans should be concentrating their efforts on ensuring the survival of their own club at this current point in time as opposed to somebody elses.

Absolutely unbelievable. So now the advice is 'you can bite your lip and not post if you don't agree'. You what? Have you totally lost the plot? Roll up for the 'one-message' board.

And 'abhorrent' is a word best saved for starvation, mass murder, terrorism, genocide...not internet flaming, or complaints thereof. Which is at best trivial.

OK - you feel free to carry on slagging off other peoples efforts. Just don't go bleating when no other clubs want to help us in future.

Edit - if the word abhorrent offended you, I apologise. But I can't apologise for my opinions.

Edit - the more I think about this, the more I have decided. I am no longer going to respond to posts like these. Others can if they want but I can't be arsed. I'm just going to sit back, talk about football and crap. There are far too many "controversial" posters these days willing to post aggressive/inflammatory opinions for the sake of it. Life is too short and, in my case, soon to be too busy to keep getting involved in pointless arguments.

If I have offended anyone (apart from bigots and racists) then I apologise. Feel free to carry on arguing - I can't be arsed any more.

Off to the sidelines for me.

I really despair of this board at the moment. Disagreeing with peoples views is what it should be about. Abuse about peoples efforts is not.
Ok, so you feel I was a bit rude. Fair comment. I could certainly have put it better in hindsight, but it is a poor effort. I just think if something is worth doing, it's worth doing properly.

I'm also glad to see for your post above that you agree with me that attilla the cock-stroker is bang out of order for posting on here to merely shout "f*** OFF YOU ARSEHOLE" at me, being needlessly abusive.

And for the record, NOT ONCE have I expressed an opinion on this Fans United/Wrexham stuff in 6 months.

I've edited my above post - that sume up my views at the moment. My views were aimed at all needless abuse - Atilla was being Atilla but shouldn't have resorted to base level abuse.

In turn, the abuse aimed at Atilla is amazing and very ill informed. Although I have a slight problem with the "super fan" concept - Hart, Costa, Adams etc,. to attack a man who has done so much to help this club survive is, IMHO, shocking.

So you have made your mind up to buy this scarf because you read that two people on a message board thought it wasn't very good. Erm, whatever.

I've got to agree with TLB here. What on earth are you talking about? Maybe some people are just a bit BORED of invariably three or four of the top ten threads being related to Wrexham in some way. I've got to admit, I'm one of them - if I ever see a bucket to help their cause I'll stick my lose change in it, but in the end it's THEIR fight. A "fans united" day is one thing, but this has been going since last season.

That, for me, was what was so shocking. You haven't really got involved which is fair enough. But to start your views on the subject with abuse about someone's obvious hard work in the name of a good course, was very surprising and seemingly out of character.
