The Albions latest Womens Super League match is away to league leaders Arsenal today. Not expecting us to get anything from this game, but its all useful experience as we get used to being in the top league. The match is going shown live on BBC Red Button with coverage starting at 12.20pm and kickoff at 12.30pm.

Are we defending in depth? There is the much vaunted “all our teams at every level play the same way” to consider

Arsenals pressure beginning to tell despite dogged defending by Brighton and some good stops by Hourihan and they now lead 2-1. Come on Albion!

Still 3-1 with 30 minutes to go. Brighton haven't showed too much going forward this half and are starting to look a little tired at times. One substitution was made at halftime as Ellie Brazil came on for Legg.

The final whistle blows and Arsenal run out 4-1 winners. Brighton certainly tried their best and there are some good signs that we are making progress and can compete in the league. Hopefully Umotongs goal will be the first of many at this level!

Lots of positives in that performance, and I was very impressed with Ellie Brazil.

Shes impressed me every time I've seen her play. She may look slight, but she is not easy to tackle and is prepared to do defensive work too and is always looking to get down the wing and get the ball into the box.
