Hibernian midfielder John McGinn is a £3million target for Premier League duo Brighton and Bournemouth.
The Scotland international has capped a fine season by being named on a four-man shortlist for PFA Scotland's player of the year award.
And Easter Road boss Neil Lennon admits he faces an uphill battle to keep hold of the 23-year-old as he enters the final year of his contract.

Pat Nevin was raving about him on 5 Live when Hibs played Celtic the other week. He said that that Celtic would try and sign him in the close season.

I just can't help being sceptical about players from the MTL, even the standout ones.

He'll be a reserve for us. MTL superstar= league 1 average.

There is some talent up there...but it ain't him.

Well at 23 still four or five years until he reaches his peak, so plenty of time for improvement, but certainly, no where near Premier League ready yet a while at least.

Maybe the club feel he is worth a punt at £3m?

Not all players in a poor league are poor. Perhaps a rare find, but Andrew Robertson was playing for Dundee United not so long ago and now looks like he will be a Champions League finalist.

3 million would be a bargain for him. Watched him as a 16 year old play for Scotland under 19s and he looked quality then. Combative midfielder with an eye for goal. If we stay up worth a 3 million pint. Would he also count as a home grown player? Replacement for Sidwell if he did. We'd get almost 3 mill for Norwood would we not?
