i think everyone should clam down, in the first few years at withdean we were spoilt to have a good team that gave us back to back promotion. Since then we have come back down to reality! Good managers have come in but not had the players or budget to invest (mark magoo, and look at the way he was treated!) in a good side plus the atmosphere at withdean hardly drives a player on to give that extra 10 percent we some times need. So is the problem down to us fans not getting behind the team? I'm just thankful that we are in this division, when we are in a none league ground. Face the facts we will always struggle while we are at withdean. Roll on falmer, a ground that attracts both the players and the fans.... I feel we all need to pull together otherwise we will be in the second division......

Be very suprised if you will ever see Mcleod fit though.U's fans said he was always fat.I didn't believe it but it does seem that way now.He picks up minor injuries and then piles on the weight.

How annoying.

I don't think we played too badly, and we certainly didn't deserve to lose on the balance of play.

BUT, there are a couple of small things which, when combined, will see us lose game after game to shit or mediocre teams.

1) Our defence, as well as being a bit shaky, cannot pass for shit. Elphick, Virgo, and most of all Whing have Cullip-esque distribution which means we're CONSTANTLY losing possession. Please, for the love of god, get Lynch back. Even if we had Ronaldo and Messi in midfield, they would struggle to do much as they would never get given the ball.

2) No winger who can CROSS. In Glenn we have the best header in the division, someone who would score countless goals given a constant supply of crosses. But does any albion player ever get to the byline? No. Crosses from 30 yards out are no good.

3) No ball-winner who can dictate the game. I'm guessing Thomson is the one who should be doing this, but he's no leader. We have some brilliant players going forward, but they need a Carpenter/Rogers type behind them to win the ball for them and sit back while they play their stuff.

4) No proper assistant to Micky. He needs a right hand man who knows the game, has been around a bit, and brings another dimension to our tactics. Dean White just isn't funny any more.

For me, these are only SMALL things, and if we sorted them we'd be f***ing brilliant in this league. I've seen albion teams in a mess in my time, and this is not one, but it is one that will fall hopelessly short of it's potential unless a few tough decisions are made.

1) Bring back Lynch
2) Get Lee Hendrie- The guy whips in a wickid ball.
3) Get Lee Carsley- That geezers an animal
4) Tell White to f*** off and Wilkins as assistant?

If only it was that easy:glare:

1) Don't bother. No one rates him higher as a footballer than he does. I doubt he's the best footballer in his family. f*** him off the sicknote twat.

2) Perhaps you should get some perspective.

3) or maybe just some sense of realism

4) Wilkins was offered that role and amazingly didn't fancy it. Do you think he'd want it now?

My normally mild mannered lad called Harty yesterday for the first time ever (and then lost his mobile signal). He was so incensed by the negative calls.

We cold easily have won that game 3-1 and would not have been flattered and everyone would have been on here talkig about "building on the home form and following up from Milwall". We hit the bar twice and missed a penalty and in the second half got cross after cross in from left and right and had players cutting into the box from both wings. We had at least one and possibly two nailed on penalties turned down.

Hudd had a breakaway goal and a couple of (good) chances near the end when we were stretched by chasing an equaliser.

Calm down - this was not a bad performance - it was an unlucky one. Get some perspective.

[Although I will say that the service to the front men from the midfield was poor today and our defensive clearances did seem to have a bit of the hoof about them]

Good to hear we deserved something from the game and put in what sounded like a commited performance. Seems that for the 1st time this season we may have been unlucky?

Don't think we are gonna set the division alight but hopefully we'll continue to play better and the confidence will come. My ambition for the season has been lowered to just avoiding a relegation scrap.

I went and we were shit, deserved a draw only because huddersfield were pony themselves and they scrambled a goal from poor defending. Adams has truly f***ed over this team, get rid of the Loanees and play the players we pay wages for, how can we look to the future when half the squad wont be here come Feb?! pathetic....sort it Adams or f*** off before we're relegated!

If we had persisted with all the youngsters there would be people on here calling for Adams to get some fresh blood in.
Its good these players are on loan as we have the option of seeing if they are good enough to be bought in January.

again, I am not sure what game people watch. I thought Town looked neat and tidy. The midfield were strong and passed the ball about well and broke up quite a lot of albions play.

The defence looked assured playing in front of a very good keeper.

I am not sure where the "nailed on" penalties came from. sat at the front of H block you cant get a perspective of the east goal....but as I said, kuips caught the ball out of the area twice.....so perhaps it evens itself out.

Remember Towns last result was a2-1 win at leeds, where we were lucky to get away with 3!!!

My concern is our run in the next few games is not easy and I am not convinced Adams has the guile to motivate this team

I was in the north stand right close to the Anyinsah shout, sure it was outside the box but the opposing player never got the ball. Huddersfield were very boring, the only reason we did'nt break them down as much was because we were shit, Murray looked bored apart from his crossbar attempt, Forster was plain shit and blamed others for his mistakes, the only shining lights were Elphick and the lord almighty Virgo who....in his rightful position played decent enough.
Overall though we played crap, the ref was a twat and we are just above the relegation zone.FACT.

The Any answer incident was just in front of where I sit in the north stand I think that the only debatable point was whether or not it was inside or outside of the box. My own view it was outside and should have been a freekick. As to the catching out side of the box by Kuipers on the first one his foot was outside but he was leaning back and the ball was in the box definitely. The second was more contentious when it hit his chest/arm and I have seen them both given and refused.

From the far right of the family stand, this was my opinion, humbly offered.

We had the better of the first half, but if you dont get the goal when you're in front, you're always likely to be caught by a sucker punch, which is exactly what happened at the start of the second half, and from then on we were unable to break them down.
We had few shots on target (or even off target) until the last five minutes, which became the most entertaining five minutes of an otherwise fairly dull match. We were unlucky to hit the bar twice in the game, and Forster was always going to miss a pen. one day - unluckily for us, it was this day! We then missed the rebound shot and a third swing went no-where.
We had the talent on the pitch to win the game. I was a little disappointed in the midfield performances, as they were supposedly the 'wonder midfield' of the loan players, who didn't dominate or create enough chances, leaving murray and forster feeding off scraps - or having to give up waiting and try and create something themselves.
Forster continues to impress with his tricky manipulation of the game, a true pro. but wasn't given enough of the ball to do much.
Thornton looks tricky in midfield, but cant do it on his own, and I'm not taken in by the emperors new clothes (Bradley Johnson). Obviously got a very good shot on him, but not sure he contributes that much in the rest of the game.
I'm still a fan of Thomson. I think he does a lot of work that's unseen by a lot of fans, and he battled well on several occasions during the match but didn't make anywhere near the same impact in the second half that he did in the first.
Kuipers looked quite bored at one point, with the lack of shots at him, and the defence really didn't have a lot to do. Murray was pretty much non-existant after a good run, but again, partly the fact that nothing was fed into him.
I was disappointed with this match, because it was there to be won, despite Adams saying the goalie had 'a good game' - why? cos he saved the penalty and a couple of shots at the end? Any good goalkeeper would have been aware that Forster prefers to shoot to the keepers right (although it was kind of right middle on this sad occasion) and the referee didn't have a great game - but that applied to decisions on both sides and cant really be blamed for us not getting something out of the game.
Playing Anyinsah and Thornton on the wrong wings at the start of each half puzzled me a little, and clearly didn't work as they ended up being swapped back again.
Lets hope its ring rust of not being played together due to cup matches and that they can turn it around for the next game. Our league position really disappoints me as I think they've had the talent there to not be in such a place at this point in the season.

Well, that's what I thought anyway.
