Polegate
Ankergren - 8 - good game, looked confident apart from one slip, a great save in the first half and a good one late on.
Calderon - 6 - decent going forward in the second half, still not quite looking the player of last season though
El-abd - 8 - didn't think he put a foot wrong to be honest
Elphick - 7 - comfortable game
Painter - 6 - not one of his best days on the ball
Dicker - 4 - would have thought it would be a big game for him back in the 4-5-1, spreading the ball wide, but his passing was abysmal (although he wasn't helped by a lack of options)
Kishishev - 5 - totally overrun in the first half, improved in the second
Sparrow - 4 -totally anonymous, sadly
Bennett - 4 - correctly subbed, barely touched the ball due to tight marking by fullbacks
Lua-Lua - 4 - ditto the above
Murray - 6 - chased a lot down with no real service

Baz - 7 - looked very lively when he came on and almost scored a wonder goal - encouraging.
Barnes - 4 - barely touched the ball, lost it when he did

Ankergren - 7 - fantastic save, otherwise nothing to do

Calderon - 6 - that's being fortunate to him, looks a shadow of the player he was last season but got himself into good positions
Elphick - 7
El-Abd - 7
Painter - 5 - turned shit now we've signed him

Lua Lua - 6 - plenty of pace, unfortunately marked out of the game
Dicker - 4 - woeful, can't pass, kept giving the ball away
Kishishev - 4 - looked lost in the middle, also kept giving the ball away
Sparrow - 5 - anonymous
Bennett - 6 - also unfortunately marked out of the game

Murray - 5 - half arsed performace

1) How many games have you actually seen him play this season? He's been absolutely terrific!!

2) What!? He had no service at all, but chased everything down. What more could he do?!

didn't go to the game... but not surprised to see barnes getting low marks. he's looked miles out of his depth in the games i've seen. very poor technique, although his movement isn't bad. will go the same way as holroyd - from a sub who gets on regularly, to a sub who stays on the bench most games, and then finally to somebody who doesn't even appear on the bench.

Casper 7 - One incredible stopped which recieved a standing ovation, but still shit myself whenever he gets the ball from a backpass. Loses a point for the fumble, all round one of his better performances though.

Calderon 5 - He really can't TACKLE properly can he? Doesn't look good on the ball and doesn't win anything in the hair. A shadow of his former self, sadly.

Elphick 7 - As most said, standard Elphick performance. Solid and did his job to keep Carlisle out. Contributed well to a valuable away point.

El-Abd 7 - More or less the above, solid. But why must we sing his name every five seconds? Has had the shine taken off it, sadly.

Painter 6 - Quiet but then can't really recall Carlisle causing many problems down the right, disagree with comments that he's not been good this year, I think he's quality.

Bennett 5 - Didn't get any of the ball, rightly subbed.

Lua-Lua 5 - As above, Carlisle played him extremely well, as he didn't get an inch and was not effective at all.

Sparrow 5 - Lightweight, few nice touches but gave the ball away too many times in the first half.

Dicker 6 - He is quality on the ball at times but has recently not been as consistent. One quality pass to put Calderon in behind, but like Sparrow lost the ball way too much in the first half.

Kishishev 7 - Pleased to see him lasting 90 minutes, perfect player for the role he plays. Good game infront of the back four.

Murray 7 - Works hard but can't lead the line on his own. Had a superb conversation with someone claiming to be his best mate after the game in KFC, and gave me a big insight into the transfer request situation...

Subs:

Baz 7 - Changed the game for the better when he came on, cracking left foot and could well have scored a goal better than Lua-Lua's last week!

Barnes 4 - Can't argue with his goal/games ratio but he's been shite this year, can't recall anything of note.

To have a go at Murray and Painter is baffling to me, they have had better games to be fair but both were solid.

Painter has probably been our best player this season so to say he is shit since we signed him proves u either haven't seen many games or you know f*** all about football.

Ankergren- 8 - MOM, pulled off a couple of world class saves.

Calderon- 6 - A shadow of his former self.
Elphick- 7- Usual solidness from Tommy.
El-Abd- 7 - Mopped up everything brilliantly, bit worried about his tendency to dive into challenges.
Painter-7 - Used the ball well, unlucky with with audacious shot.

Bennett- 6 - Marked out of the game. Think 4-4-2 would suit him better.
Dicker- 6 - Played a few exquisite balls into the path of Inigo.
Sparrow- 5 - Wasn't in the game much. Good laugh on the train home though
Kishishev- 5 - Looks off the pace a bit. Would prefer to see more energy and dynamism in the midfield.
Lua-Lua- 6 - See Elliott.

Murray- 6 - No service for him. Playing hoofball against the quality of Michalik, well there's only gonna be one winner.

Subs:
Baz- 7 - His bursts lit up a completely drab match in all honestly. Looks to be a useful impact player.
Barnes- 6 - Lack of service, unlucky late on with his header.

Poyet- 4 - Disappointed me, lack of desire and attacking intent to really win the game. Clearly emphasised by withdrawing our two best players on the hour mark. The system needs to change only suits the defence and doesn't benefit anyone else. Revert to 4-4-2 Gus and bring in a centre forward.

Murray really can do no wrong in alot of people's eys, he done nothing yesterday apart from miss the chance to win us the game, and still, he gets a 7 out of most of you... with a real goal scoring striker we would have won the game yesterday

Seen us play 4 times this season and thought he's been poor in those games.

Are you serious? He's been one of our best players. He's solid at back, you can normally count on 1 hand the amount of times he's beaten in a game. Just cos you don't see him bombing forward like Calderon doesn't mean he's shit. He's your 7/10 every week type of player every side that is serious about promotion needs.

He's a total winner in the hair department.

Calde = Not the best start to the season but sure he'll get form back (may still be suffering with blisters?)

Painter = Our most consistant performer so far this season. Best left back in the league.
