Gus:

"I would like to win the next two and then it doesn’t matter, the Cup. I want to relax, sit there and enjoy the game."

If we get 6 points from the next two games, the players can go out against Arsenal and enjoy themselves. I think the lads will be well up for this, especially if we continue out current form into the next two league games. :)

On a tangent, has Vicente played against Arsenal in the Champions League?

I don't understand the concentrate on the league/play a less than full strength side stuff - we're not good enough to go up without doing a Swindon, so why not try for a bloody good Cup run?

On the basis it cannot take a week for Arsenal to decide how many tickets they need (everyone seems to think it's 4k) it seems that the only reason the club are advising us that more tickets may become available next Wednesday is that the corners may be ready,

Albion Will Host Arsenal

EDIT: Arsenal confirmed with 4000 tickets

This should mean block S1H is mostly available for home fans, if we can segregate on a block by block basis

Watched Arsenal tonight and have seen a few of their games this season including Reading in the League cup.No doubt about it if they click and have a 'good day' we could be in for a tough afternoon.I think they had about 20 shots in the 2nd half last night but just couldn't find the net until the end.

With opinions like that, thank goodness you're not Tony Bloom!

With the squad we've got now, even the 'reserves' are decent. Don't see how getting beaten by a Champions League regular means you lose your job as manager.

All I'm saying is, if Gus plays a weakened team, with all the excitement of this match and we get battered, twenty three thousand Albion fans are not gonna be happy. You obviously know different and yes I'm not Mr Bloom! I am on the Gus bus mate, but find it odd that people talk about Wenger & Gus not putting their strongest teams out.We could win and go on a fabulous cup run and get Man U at home for fecks sake! Mr Bloom and I would both be very happy.Otherwise just put the development team out and go out in the early rounds.

This terrifies me too. If they click and we're not on our game we could get a real hammering. Walcott's pace against El Abd and Greer in particular worries me.

Having said that if we're on our game and they're not we could have ourselves a tremendous cup tie and a giant killing.

Everyone is expecting us to do them, I'm expecting 4-0 Arsenal, they'll take it seriously, they've got nothing else they can win this season except this cup, I'm sure they don't want to risk a 9th year in a row with out trophies by playing a silly reserve team.

Desperate Wenger will play strongest 11

Will want to avoid the fans fury if they lose to a mid table Championship club, handing them another trophy-less season.

Wenger will play ten men behind the ball and hope to hold out for a draw. Boring Arsenal.
