The ball boys & youth team sit in the Internet stand, so it must be ok with health & safety and I would have thought with the public?

Not needed of course yet as we have failed to sell out a game. I appreciate that the club shop is not open today but still gobsmacked to have only sold 20 tickets on line the day after our biggest away win for nearly a decade.

Perhaps we really are a small club.

You're an odious little twerp aren't you?

Or perhaps you're a glass half full kind of bloke.

Last few games at home, we have had near on 7,000 home fans. Incredible really considering the Withdean effect, the price of the tickets, the general ambience and the fact that it's Div 3. Yesterday we took 3,500 fans in a league game (not a big game Charlie cup game) against another Div 3 side (not a premiership glamour side). The family stand is now almost guaranteed to be at least 80-90% full for every home game - and this is our future fans we are talking about. As each game comes we are getting close and closer to selling out the home end.

All the above is nothing short of miraculous. It really is. Cheer up, you miserable bugger.
The Withdean effect my arse. We are bloody top not bottom & the weather has been fine at home games so far this season & you think it's wonderful that we are getting 7000 crowds!!! So where are the other thousands that supposedly are going to come to Falmer but can't be bothered to go to the withers? Do we have that many plastic supporters?

Ticket prices will not be any cheaper at the Amex either.

To sell only 20 tickets today for next weeks game is piss poor.

I would have thought most of the people who went yesterday will already have tickets for Saturday.

Is the correct answer.

Very few dithering fans would buy a ticket on a Sunday. There will still be a steady trickle of people ordering tix this week.

Black J is practically empty.

Back when Charlton were struggling and their ground was about to be lost and they were playing poor football in the lower leagues they were getting 2 or 3 thousand home fans for matches. Crap football, crap facilities, crap attitude all round. Yesterday there were 15k home fans.

Falmer will be full - and there IS a Withdean factor that keeps so many people away. Maybe you could take a day off you grumpy mumpy.

Sales seem to have been brisk this morning...

D,E and F now gone, C to be gone in hours. Might even sell out W by tomorrow - never seen so few left here even on the day of the game!

I predict by Wednesday just a couple in H will remain and J, with J selling out before the weekend.

Open the internet stand (I am calling it this as others have, but aint got a fooking clue why!)

just over 500 seats remaining >

J = 402
H= 80
G = 14
C=1
B = 31
A = 15
W = 11 (yes eleven!!)

Thanks for doing the adding up today!

Having monitored our ticket sales daily (sad!), we tend to sell about 50 a day.
Yesterday's pitiful sells, have more than compensated this morning's. About a 100 have gone already today. Will we fill out by Saturday? We should.

At the very least if we sell only another 200 then it will be the best league ticket sell for this season so far.

You're becoming so very tedious. Let me spell it out.

Withdean is a converted athletics track with no cover and no facilities

The Amex will be the best UK stadium outside of London with facilities to boot.

The latter will attract 10-15,000 season ticket holders depending on which league we are in. Plus casuals plus away support = crowds of at least 13,000 even after the initial fuss has died down.

Calm down about Withdean selling out this year. It's irrelevant to our fan base or potential as a club.

My friend played basketball for Everton Tigers, when they play at Greenbank sports hall (bit like Withdean) they get about 500 fans. When they play at the brand new Liverpool Echo Arena they get 5000! A brilliant stadium is a massive draw and will be full. Same with BHA away games, good stadium big away support. We always take more to Huddersfield than Oldham or Rochdale but they are all the same distance give or take a mile. Falmer will be full no problem.

You may 'see' a full stadium (bar the away end with maybe 300, which should be a crowd of 8,300) but don't look for a figure over about 7,500 as 2 for 1 and kids at a quid etc are not counted in the crowd figures, I expect biggest reported crowd figure should be Southampton when the cheap 2 for 1 etc ticket may not be on offer.
