Unbelievable that a player who's only experience of senior football is 101 games for Accrington Stanley over the last five years could be playing CL football this season! What a break for Ross Sykes!

For a team with three strikers on the pitch, we don't look too threatening.

JP Van Hecke looks so accomplished. Loan system paying off - basically we've got a new Championship player of the season centre back joining us with very little fanfare.

On that 2nd half viewing I was impressed with Van Hecke - seems to be quite strong and not afraid to make a tackle. Good to see Webster back too. Zeqiri worked hard with little success.

Undav, and Lamptey were a bit anonymous but it was only 45mins, Kozlowski a bit light weight but did put in a couple of lovely cross field passes and Maupay was Maupay with a stupid yellow card, say no more. Alzate also seems to have lost some of his early promise from a couple of years ago (also picked up a daft yellow card) which is a shame.

I just thought over the whole game there seemed very little urgency to get the ball into the box - all a bit too familiar. A game almost played at walking pace.

Still a worthwhile exercise especially from the fitness perspective but on the evidence tonight the biggest plus being the signing of Adingra. Could be a real handful this season (even if its at USG). Best player on the pitch tonight.

JPVH looks assured, quite a good paced game for a jog out. We'll all have a better idea on the new signings after the tinpot game.

Maupay is such a dick at times.

Even shrugged off the handshake…….

And he never waved to the fans……… oh, it was behind closed doors…..

Well, I've seen worse meaningless pre-season friendly goal-less draws.........................

Now pens apparantly..................... wonder if we'll actually see a goal! Oh.............looks like we aren't going to see them anyway!
