0-0 although Brighton had a goal disallowed for offside. Spotted Forster watching his stepson, Dean Wilkins and Robert Codner in various parts of the ground. Gus was watching . Quite a large crowd there. Brighton were trialling Ishmael Kamara who is from Sierra Leone but plays for a club in Sweden. Looks a bit lightweight for a striker. Dean Cox was subbed after injuring his ankle.

How did Caskey do? Was it a good game?

both sides fairly evenly balanced. Caskey looked comfortable to say he was in an adult side, nothing spectacular.

He looked OK to me. Held the ball up well and did alot of running with little support in the first half. Disallowed goal & tried an overhead kick that was not far away (that should impress the flair lovers). Could do with a bit more muscle on him, but could be worth another look.

Cox looked a shadow of his former self. Got subbed early on in second half but not sure if due to injury or poor perfromance? Either way he looked mighty pissed off as left the pitch.

Connor Wilkins didn't play, so what was Dean Wilkins doing there I wonder.

Watching Cox?

Not a bad game with very few chances to either side. Mitch Walker made a couple of decent saves one of which he palmed straight back into the 6 yd box a la FDM but we got away with it. As has been said Ishmail Kamara looked lively and held the ball up well and may be worth another look. Wasnt over impressed with the players people on here are saying should be in the first team like Steve Cook who defended ok but comes from the hoof it away school of football. George Barker who came on as a sub but didnt stand out. Lewis Dunk looked quite solid and Virgo and Tunnicliffe did as would ber expected of first team fringe players. I thought the Palace no 4 Jack Holland looked a fair no nonsense central defender. The most impressive Albion player was as to be expected Seb Carole. Overall not a bad performance but nobody stood out as a must be in the first team squad player.

Gus and Maurico were there with presumably their sons and Gus was quite jovial having his photo taken with some lads for Soccer AM this thing where a person takes a photo of a celebrity taking a photo of them. Incidentally a club official was overheard telling somebody that they are definitely going to Portugal and will play Swansea in the stadium at Albuferia and probably 2 local sides as Swansea havent confirmed but details will be on the club website later this week or next week.

Tried googling Kamara but the only thing I came up with is a brief reference to Ismael Reflex Kamara scoring for Sierra Leone Stars in a friendly against a club side in Holland and also coming on as a 93rd minute sub in an international against South Africa last year. However he does not appear on listings of their current international squad. As the Stars are not exactly blessed with footballing talent (or so their results and our previous experience with Albert Jarrett and Al Bangura would suggest) it may not say a lot.
