One thing he REALLY doesn't want listed on his CV - he did an Albion fundraiser about seven years ago.
Yes he did. Which I booked him for. Bless the crowd - they booed him on (!) and then listened courteously and laughed in all the right places. "Stand up for the Albion" it was, and we raised over £3500, & Kevin donated his time for free.

there was alot of trouble for the opening game of the 74-75 season at the goldstone, but yeah, the following season it really took off, with those 3 cup games

i was at stamford bridge to that night, seem to remember brighton having the shed and the palace fans getting soaked in the away end

not to forget the great 1-0 win at shithurst, barry butlin on loan, legend, harry wilson kept peter taylor in his pocket that night

oh and sammy morgan's first 2 goals for us,i was right behind the north stand goal when he side footed home from about 6 yards out, great, great night

Barry Butlin and Sammy Morgan (legend) was season 75/76.

The cup matches were the following season 76/77.

I was in the north as well, a fantastic night. 33,000 gate.

Does anyone want to tell him that we have already been beaten at the Amex in a competitive match? Not that I want Palace to win of course, it'd hurt (again), but it just wouldn't have the kudos Kevin Day wants to attach to it.

First team to ever win in the league, pretty big deal! I personally wouldn't want that on my teams CV if roles were reversed. As much as you all like to deny it, all the pressure is on you to win tomorrow.

Actually, we are the first team to ever win there in the league. So, Palace would be the first away team to win, not including friendlies or cup games. Whoopy.

Thanks a million for all the comments. I've sent the link to this thread onto Kevin and, he's going to read it after a few beers. Good luck tonight, everyone. Let's hope the game is remembered for all the right reasons, namely our five goals without reply.
