Kuszczak - 9 - Another excellent game and some quality saves;
Bruno - 5 - Ok going forward but to frustratingly lax in possession. Gives the ball away far too much
Upson - 8 - Very solid indeed
El-Abd - 9 - Excellent
Bridge - 9 - Again, excellent and sadly highlight how poor Bruno looks at the moment in comparison
Hammond - 7 - Solid performance. Will probably not be marked too highly by many because we're used to Bridcutt who is simply a better player in that role.
Dicker - 6.5 - Kept things ticking over but slowed down play today occasionally
Orlandi - 7.5 - Lovely flick for the goal and good link up with Vicente, tired though in the 2nd hald
Spanish Dave - 7.5 - Good performance and beautifully taken goal
Vicente - 8.5 - Pulled the strings in the first half and looked a little frustrated at times that his teammates were seemingly on a different wavelength
Ulloa - 6 - Hold up play was ok but wasn't at the races for me today. His control was poor and he was play acting a bit plus not scoring from 3cms out is a sin CMS or Barnes would have been shot for. That said, it's only one game and he's played more for us that he has the rest of the season. He looked tired

Barnes - 6 - Didn't get into the game much out wide left
CMS - 6.5 - Usual running and some great play by the corner to kill time at the end
Greer - 6.5 - Good clearing header and added more protection but not on for long

Over all, not the best game or performance from an attacking sense but another steely and resolute defensive display. Starting to look like a good unit at the back although I'd still prefer calderon to Bruno.

Orlandi dicked them first half. Bruno poor again. Hammond frustrating but probably use to having Bridcutt behind him. Ulloa shocking miss but good hold up play. Koosh fantastic.

Won ugly is the right description.We were very poor except for the first 20 mins or so. And why Gus brought Greer on for the last five minutes I don't know. All he did was add confusion to a defence that was doing a pretty good job. Stupid decision.

Kuszczack 9. A couple of wonderful saves. Certainly kept us in the game. And confident ball handling throughout. MOM
Bruno 5. Weakest link. Why captain?
ElAbd 8. Good solid defensive play with some excellent clearing headers. Couple of poor passes mixed in.
Upson 8. Very good. Impressive display.
Bridge 8. Great defending and attacking. Class.
Hammond 7. Not as good as Bridcutt in that role, but did OK.
Dicker 7. Some lovely stuff in the first half particularly, mixed with some sloppy passing and tendency to get knocked off the ball.
Spanish Dave 7. Well taken goal and some great crosses. Otherwise good without being great.
Orlandi 7. bit of a mix of great play and some frustration. Not at his very best.
Vicente 6. Sublime at times in the first half, but overall insufficient effort and apparent lack of interest.
Ulloa 6. Awful miss, but he will come good. Did not win enough headers.

Subs:
Barnes 7. Didn't appear to have a lot of the ball.
CMS 8. Brought some pace and urgency to the attack.
Greer. Not on long enough.

Gus 6. Strange line-up. We needed more pace.

El Abd -8- had a very difficult game against Austin. Good practice for Murray
Upson -5- if in doubt get it out!!!! Trying to be too clever sometimes
Bridge -9- MOTM. First half especially he gave their right back a nightmare
Hammond -5- too slow and doesn't get stuck in enough
Dicker -5- misplaced too many passes
Vicente -8- made some sublime passes. Was on a great run hacked down in second half
David -9- great finish or goal. Also an amazing ball to Orlandi in first half. Covers if Bruno goes forward
Orlandi -8- he had a great first half down the left. Sad to see him go off.
Ulloa -6- made wrong runs when crosses came in and missed a sitter!!

He just didn't seem 'up for it' today. Half hearted attempts at winning the ball throughout the game. Just an off day, nothing to panic over.

Ulloa - 6 - Was getting frustrated at the decisions going against him, and fair enough I thought. Should have scored though.

Bruno - 5 Been pretty poor since he has come back from injury. Prefer Calderon tbh.
Bridge -9 Linked up superbly with Orlandi and was MOM for me.

Dicker - 5 Not for me thanks.
Vicente -6 Average game by his standard, glimpses of his class. Should have scored at least one.

Ulloa - 4 Looked easier to score than miss. Did very little of any note. Let's hope it was just an off day for a £2million outlay.

I think my comment tends to agree with others before !

Agree with most, but Upson deserves a higher mark than El-Abd. Austin wasted 2 good chances (well, one was a wonder save), and one great chance near the end to score from headers, all of which came from him beating El-Abd in the air.
People ignore these things, and give him 8s and 9s for his commitment. If Austin had been at the races today he could easily have had a hat-trick.

Made those headers out of nothing when tightly marked.

Thanks for your comments and I'll admit that I was maybe over generous to Bruno. However, still stand by my ratings of TK and upson. Tomas made excellent saves but wasn't faultless (as his kicking wasnt great today) therefore can't give him a 10.
Upson in my opinion had a couple of times where he took too much time in possession or was trying to be too clever. Like the second half where he half heatedly tried to shield the ball out instead of just conceding a throw or corner. It could have cost us two points today.
