Ah, Kinky, but that would spoil our fune. What about that back pass from Richards as well, Jeez.

Yes, our players could get called offside during the warm up, but the Lino was a bit awful wasn't he? Even that ball Jake had, Lino said went out for a goal kick, we were bang on the line, that ball never even went halfway across the line.

True, but it does get a little tedious - Cox and Robinson both have the pace not to be off side.

I think richards knew what he was doing........ or something like that.

Yes, Jake and Cox shold be able to stay on side, but I fear the game has moved on since Wendys day, he needs to look at things like how offside decisions work nowadays, and start training the players accordingly. Sometimes the basicness of the errors makes you wonder.

And Richards had no idea what he was doing with that back pass, it was shocking. I can't get that bloke, he is obviously better then he is showng us, but why has he done nothing good except the last 15 minutes against Bournemouth?
We have 2 left backs at the club, both are fit, and I really believe that both would do as good a job as Richards, if not better. Send him home Dean.

I was really shocked about Richards, I always rated him quite highly when I had seen him before.

Maybe his problem is he is trying to force to much and try to impress?

He played like Mayo has done for years!

Also may they should give him a try on the lw and move cox to the right

that would add a bit more balance in my view

I had the 'pleasure' of a view from the North Stand last night for the first time along with some friends new to the Albion.

Catering - woeful

View - Very different to the south stand and I can see the benefits of why Dean wants to sit there.

Celebrities - no Des but sat next to Micky Adams and some other scouts although they didn't have much to enjoy

Game - Barnet can consider themselves unlucky - more possession, more shots, more creativity and I can see why they are doing well. If Richards has his loan spell extended it will be a real shame as he hasn't shown enough to justify keeping Sam out of the team. Dreadful pass which they should have scored from. Michel kept is in the game and all in all not much to get excited about and just pleased to be one step nearer to Wembley :albion2::albion2::albion2:

What do you mean? Surely a right footed left winger and a centre forward right winger woulod hug their respective touchlines and never drift in?

Re the lino - the issue for me aside from whether he got the offsides right or wrong, were that:
a) he was rarely (if ever) up with play and in line with the last defender
b) in the last few mins, his bottling of correctly insisting that a goal kick was awarded, rather than just allowing the keeper to take a free kick because the ref's back was turned, was appalling.

Also the abuse for Richards was OTT.. he's not done well yet, but some of our fans really went to town on him too much last night

I concur, its interesting that some of the people that abuse him have put up with worse showings from Mayo than that but jump on Richards back.

wasnt this because it happened inside the 6 yard box which means you can take it from anywhere inside the 6 yard box

No because it wasn't a foul, it was a goal kick. The keeper took the kick from the edge of the 18 yard box

No excuse for any poor performance. I don't know why we don't just play the reserves, I don't want us picking up injuries in this!

16. Michel Kuipers

2. Andrew Whing

6. Adam El-Abd

24. Tommy Elphick

28. Matthew Richards

19. Jake Robinson

10. George O'Callaghan

11. Dean Hammond

7. Dean Cox

8. Alex Revell

17. Bas Savage

One of the playing conditions appratently is that all sides have to play a minuimum of 6 regular first team players... which is why we put out this lot

We are in the South East part of the draw, therefore we can only draw MKdons, Dagenham and Redbridge or Gillingham

Hmmm. Although it would be nice to play The Daggers, it would be wonderful to play MK Dons and a certain Mr Leon Knight, although I think he would probably run rings round our defence. :(

The MKDons are loaded down with strikers, and they've been very successful too.

I'd like to see them play us in the Paint Trophy too, and personally I'd not be too bothered if we got knocked out of it (as I don't really see the point of it, and it's a bit too minor, for a distraction from the league).

Some people do take it very seriously.

Blackwell 'flabbergasted' by loss

Luton boss Kevin Blackwell has vowed to transfer-list up to seven players after their 4-3 defeat against Gillingham in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy.
"This was a disgraceful way to lose and what it means is I'll put six or seven on the transfer list," he said.

"I was flabbergasted. There's a malaise in this football club and we have to pick it up since I have been here.

"The will and desire is not there. I've given them 15-16 games and I'm not happy with the team."

Blackwell added: "I can't rely on them and if I can't rely on them, they can't play for Luton."
