Yes, but re: McConville vs. Cashin, we're punting £1M for our boy going to the Championship against £(how many?)M for a Championship player coming in (who I hope becomes the new younger Dunk with knobs on) - but we'll have to wait and see.
Are we ‘punting’, or have we been forced down this route because McConville wanted to leave ?

Big news late late news last night....Tom McGill rejoins from his six month loan at MK Dons. McGill is now 24 years of age...so not getting any younger now. Actually thought he was around 21 or 22 years of age.
NB: McGill contract expires this summer.

His mum liked a comment of mine on Facebook. Seems like the club wanted to sell instead of going down the route of loans within the EFL.

The U21s are currently 3rd (out of 26) in PL2.

We have several very exciting lads, including the 16 year old England age group regulars Howell and Simmonds who have taken to U21 football swimmingly.

But I would have thought that most of these lads in this group are more likely to go out on loan next year than step straight up, given their ages and competition for places. Howell and Simmonds maybe even the season after that, can you send out U18s on professional loans?

Having said that I didn't expect Hinsh to make the squad last year.
Sometimes rather than ability players need some luck. Hinch did not get seelected on merit. We we desperate for a RB because of injuries. and even though was midfielder was one of few options available. Every chance if those injuries had not occured he would be out on loan

Maybe we just didn't RATE him very highly

Not everything has to have any deeper reasoning than that.
Sorry, that’s bollocks. Having seen him play multiple times, the lad had great ability and a really strong level of leadership. He was also on the bench for the men’s first team for the last 6 weeks. Really hope it works out for him as he always came across as a decent lad.

Looks like we tried to offload Yussif Owusu too:

Is the Denmark window shut yet?

Yes Denmark closed yesterday. The Dutch, Austrian and Romania leagues are some that remain open (although the Dutch closes today).

He was "only" offered a third scholar year at the end of last season, rather than a professional contract. No surprise whatsoever if he moves on.
