Cameron Peupion seems to be playing below his level by still being with the U21s. I know that the loan to Cheltenham was fairly pointless because they signed too many loan players and could have only five in a matchday squad, but I wonder what our plan is for him. He seems to be playing very well, but I think he's only contracted until the end of the season. Anybody know anything?

It certainly is a strange one, not entirely sure, for his own sake I hope he finds a decent League One club for second half of the season and wins a contract there or elsewhere.
Peupion’s playing better than ever this season. He seems quicker and has far more influence on games. It maybe because he is playing against less experienced opposition and/or we have players who can get the ball to him quicker and at the right times.
Cheltenham would have been a tough lesson. In the right team and at the right level he could do well. He needs to go out on loan to find it.
I think Peupion's contract is up in 2025 - so unless we have an option to extend for another year, or can persuade him to sign a new contract, I guess he'll be off in the summer.
Looks like a shop-window loan in January - more for the lad's benefit than for any financial gain for the Albion (unless we can extend/renew his contract as above). He's 22 now, and I don't think he's in line for a place in our squad - maybe he'll do a Gyokeres on us in the long term! Who knows?
