I don’t think this is a serious thread but if you’re not enjoying the season after three games, imagine being a United or West Ham fan

Don't worry, a 1-0 defeat at home to Leeds United and they'll be a thread suggesting Potter has taken us as far as he can.

There's a clear difference between enjoying the season so far and thinking that we're destined for a European tour! Clearly this thread isn't totally serious, but I've already seen plenty of comments from people who are potentially getting carried away with a false league position. The same thing happened last year – remember all that BS about us potentially going 'top of the table'? People really do buy into that shit when, really, ninth was a bit of an over-achievement.

Maybe my default setting is to err on the side of caution, which might be better than some of the extreme highs and lows that see the same people salivating about the team now, suddenly switch to moaning that all the players are crap and 'Potter needs to go' after a bit of a doggy spell of a few defeats and draws.

Beat Leeds and Palace fluke a draw or win against City, and we WILL go top of the table for at least a few hours…the dream is alive again this season :lolol:

Steady :lolol: next five games up to the international break are Leeds, Fulham, Leicester, Bournemouth and Palace. The hardest three on paper are all at home. Dare to dream?

Was thinking about how Leicester did it. They had a defensive core of Schmeichel, Morgan, Huth and Kante up there with the best we've seen, and Mahrez and Vardy terrorising defences up front. Thats the recipe. Are we an Undav breakthrough away from something similar? Dare to dream :lolol:

*Leicester also had the good fortune of City, Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal and United in various degrees of managerial turmoil. We won't get that......

The title is silly talk, but top 4? I'm really honestly not sure that it is fantasy. We'll know more after the Palace game because they also look excellent, unfortunately.

Top 4, it's hard to look beyond Man City, Liverpool, then two from Spurs, Arsenal and Chelsea.

I'd say 5th to 7th isn't beyond the realms of possibility for us. I'll wait till after Christmas before I start packing my bags for an away day in Moldova though.
