Probably a bit of a stretch, but top 4 and Champions league should be at least the aim

If not, then Potter should consider his position.

You won't earn anything if you don't work to do so.

Titles are never won. They are earned.

Very much enjoying how trying* we are right now

*for the opposition.

=In my mind = Newcastle outplayed Champions Man City today = we outplayed Newcastle last week = we must win the title = my mind is not to be trusted.

I think we’re looking more at relegation certainty, and if Graeme can’t get us into double-figure goal difference soon I think we should start booking our flights to Carlisle sooner rather than later.

I am old enough to remember Carlisle being top of the first division after a few games, they got relegated….worrying times

I read somewhere that the PL can take ten games to sort itself out, by which time, final league places are not going to change considerably.

At this point last season, Rafa Benitez's Everton were fourth, with a better goal difference than we have today. Arsenal were bottom with zero points and a GD of -9.

Potter has already said that the aim should be 40 points as soon as possible and to then think about greater ambition. As his approach sees us 17.5% of the way towards that target after only 7.8% of the games, I'll listen to him.

I wasn't really being serious.

This time we might break through. Always struggled against the bottom 3 but we may have just turned a corner today
