Candles gives it BUT he can take it too, which is more than some of our precious babies can manage.

Very true. No names, no pack drill, eh, in keeping with the rules of this board. I can't remember the of the guy who went on the Southend board, but he managed to cause 10 pages of sheer binfestery.

So like a TOP and a BOTTOM then eh?! Quite appropriate really, bearing in mind the, errrrr, respective league positions.

To be honest, I never got all the "hate" stuff with Orient at the end of the 1990s. Sure, that dick Hearn got us wound up with his stupid comments, and we had whatever Scott McGleish did or didn't say (wasn't it actually Carl Griffiths?), but I have always found them to be a pretty friendly bunch of fans, and had some good banter with them up there, and their social club is a model for any football club's supporters' bar. It embarrassed me no end when we won there 2-1 under Adams, and our fans were singing, "we beat the scum 2-1". P***** are and remain the scum whether we are in the Conference and they are in the Premiership and vice-versa. Occasionally in the past, I have been to Brisbane Road when the Albion have been way up north. As for Candles, or whatever he calls himself these days, he's like our idiot who kept posting on the Southend board.

Sorry mate but Orient are the Scum and although hopefully we wont be playing them much in the future they are our biggest rivals in my opinion. Much bigger rivals than Palace. for me anyway.

"It's ok for clubs such as Brentford or Brighton having a rich backer it's when these backers lose interest that the club suffer i.e. Chelsea"

Can't see that being an issue for us tbh...

Here is that post in full whoever posted it is unaware of Blooms family links with the club.

Brighton have invested heavily on promotion Poyet, Ankergen, Noone and Greer the problem
they have is if they don't go up this season the wheels could come off which is happening to
regularly to clubs who over budget.

Despite yesterday woeful performance i think Slade has taken the club forward... just one thing

In the absence of any derby games against Palace in the 90s, Orient became THE rival throughout the 90s, and the game that most Albion fans wanted to win. Always a fantastic turnout at Brisbane Road and great atmosphere generated. I've never hated Orient, but always was the team I most wanted to beat (plus Cardiff for a few years).

Shut it candles you no f*** all!

Typical. In comes a Saints fan to turn the banter nasty.

I for one have always disliked Southampton. For a time I disliked Orient but that has passed. For a start, Slade is a legend, Coxy was good for us as was Revell, and their keeper is always good for a couple of goals!
