If he had left and Pulis was appointed I would not be that upset.
I bloody would be.
A terrifying thought.

Sorry have to disagree there. Would rather stay in this league even to struggle than play the way Stokes Pulis side played. He may get Brighton into premiership but I would seriously think about not turning up to watch it.(I know this is mainly a empty threat as I always say the same and still turn up) But hoping the days of the way we played under Wilkins, Adams 2nd time etc, are way behind us.

This, surely the most important thing is the style of football played?
Indeed, that's why I'm delighted to see the back of Poyet.
Here are some quotes from OG's interview with the Argus:
He told The Argus: “When a team from the first division in Spain, and who have been in that division for so many years, think of me to be their coach, it’s always a reason for pride.
“But I’m sure of where I want to be and that is here.
“I’m happy to be here. Hopefully I’m here for many years.
“I’ve always wanted to coach in England and people have welcomed me.
“I think I can do a good job here and, all the time the club and the people here are happy with me, I’m happy here.”
Truly a class act.
TBF I seem to remember Gus coming out with a thanks but no thanks to job offers before, and he did reject Reading (although rather than loyalty I would assume he weighed up chances of promotion and taking plaudits against chance of relegation).
Thankfully, we now have a manager that shows a lot more respect for the club, its chairman, board, and fans.

Tel Aviv was more to do with the safety of his wife and family , so not that fair to say he wasn't loyal(if that was what you was getting at).
Yes, I was wondering that. I guess it depends what he said publicly at the start of last season. Did he, for example, state "I hope I'm here for a long time. All the time I'm wanted, I'll be happy to stay" or some such? I guess I could google it, but I'm not sure I CBA, tbh.
Anyway, even if he did, and therefore might do it again, it's still good that he at least says the right things, isn't it?
He didn't leave them to come here. He left for personal reasons, with the blessing (or at least thanks) of the Tel Aviv owners & fans.

I know, i've read all that, and I don't doubt it's true. It justs seems a bit odd how quickly and conveniently it all worked out (in him being appointed not the whole getting rid off Gus) especially as Gus was a goner for the last 2-4 months of the season depending on who you believe.
