Second bid just been put in. £1.76m and a Crystal Girl of Liam's choice.

1 season does not make you the next level

In the short term at least it probably does, to be honest. Likely to go down this year but for at least a season he'll have the chance to impress other Premiership managers and play with better players, and if he plays well enough then he might help keep them up.

Crystal Palace have today had a £1.75million bid for Brighton midfielder Liam Bridcutt turned down.

The Scotland international midfielder has told the Seagulls he wants to quit the Championship club for the Eagles.

Bridcutt has made his name as a holding midfielder on the south coast after leaving Chelsea.

Why would he make such a backward step when Brighton are on the up and Palace on the way down and out? You won one game, big deal; get used to losing as that is the only future you have.

Wasn't it Palace that showed young Liam the door after an unsuccessful trial? Seems slightly ungrateful considering Brighton picked him off the streets. We shook him up. We turned him around. Turned him into someone new.

Now four years later, he's got the world at his feet. Success has been so easy for him. But he shouldn't forget it's us who put him where he's at. And we can put him back down too.

Now five years later on you've got the world at your feet
Success has been so easy for you
But don't forget it's Brighton who put you where you are now
And they can put you back down too.

Somewhere nice to live within 5 miles of his workplace, counts you lot out.

Ahh. The joys of Croydon's education system. I mean you are from Croydon, right? Surely not from Lancing because no-one in their right mind would live in enemy territory.

At the start of the summer, had we conducted a poll about Liam's future, the vast majority would have voted that they expected him to be off to the Prem. Not with palace though. That's not changed.
He's currently injured. I don't see why anyone would take the risk for the sort of fee he'd command.

He could ask you to learn to spell for one, what a ****.

His agent, probably. Agents tell papers all sorts of stuff to try and put pressure on clubs.
Yep. It's his agent spreading the story that Liam wants to play for Palace.

Actually, it's more complicated than that ... Liam is committed to the Albion and wants to fight off bids from other clubs, by spreading the rumour that he's a f***ing idiot without an ounce of football brain. What better message to put out than "I'd like to play for Crystal Palace"?

This is surely Bull! Last week he was quoted as I am staying. Plus, and more importantly, it wasn't on football transfer rumours. So it can't be true :)
