Interesting opinions on this thread. I think I'll always feel more emotional attachment with the Albion than I could ever feel with England, so if I'm offered success for either one, I'll always choose the Albion.

BUT - there's nothing quite like those summers when England are progressing in a major tournament. The whole country gets up for it, and every match is such a huge national event. The summers of 1990 and 1996 were unforgettable, even though I only saw the games on the TV. I just get obsessed and totally immerse myself in those tournaments.

Can't WAIT for Portugal.

That's exactly how I feel. I LOVE the England games in the big tournaments, as you say they are national events. However as someone else as said even if we win Euro 2004 by the time January comes round it will be nothing but a memory and we're back to the bread and butter stuff. I'd rather be looking forward to Leeds, Derby, West Ham (face it Palace will win), Ipswich, Forest, Wolves, Leicester etc that another round with Bournemouth, the Cheats etc.

I have invested far more money and time to the Albion than I ever would to England. I have an attachment to the ALbion brought on by watching them 40 odd times a season and wishing my weeks away each week to the next albion game. In the off seaosn I class the Euros as an exciting distraction befor enext seaosn begins again. And if we go up the excitment for next season will be massive knowing we will be playing such quality teams and going to quality grounds.

Albion all the way.
