It took Maheta Molango 12 seconds to become a hero, which is pretty quick.

Of course, it did take roughly the same amount of time for said hero status to fade as well.

Obvious one i'd have thought, but Bobby Zamora was certainly not slow in getting down to business goals wise.

edit: Although whether he qualifies as a 'cult hero' is another argument...

I'm gonna have to agree with Robbie Reinelt, after all he wasn't here THAT long and Rod Thomas who could have been total toilet and still won my affections, being the fan bought player he was.

Honourable mention to Stafford Browne

:)

I believe his first name was something like Emeeka ?

I was there that day - didnt it piss it down with rain ? or was that another grand day out in Barnet ?

Emeka Ifejiagwa. I was there!

Scored on his debut and then did it again at the Priestfield the game after that one. What a class act he was... for the couple of games he played before immegration got involved... ???

Peter Ward wasn't quite as quick off the mark - took all of 50 seconds to score on his debut at Hereford before the MotD cameras. His hero status has yet to fade.

Rod Thomas

Il never forget cambridge away on a friday night (think it was on sky too) when he was unbelievable and we won 3-2.he scored two goals,if i remember correctly..

You're right - Minton got the other one, but I'm sure it was at the Priestfield - one of my very few happy memories from that place!

I remember Thomas scoring, someone that never scores scoring, Hobson possibly? and Minton scoring a late penalty

How we chuckled when Adams came in and blatently marked him down as shit luxury we couldn't afford. Watching Thomas prowling the touchline in his substitute's tracksuit always amused. (I know I'm being harsh - at least he didn't flounce)

Rod Thomas,
Rod Thomas,
Roddy Rod Thomas,
He gets the ball and he throws it back,
Roddy Rod Thomas.
