That is Lovers Walk, isn't it? Despite what HB&B said. I've been working pretty much next to that for the past 5 months.

One of the downsides of reading HB&B, especially on matters relating to this city, is that there exists the extremely slight possibility that one might have to take on board that it could be worthwhile believing him.

That looks like the bottom of North Road into the Old Stenie. So I am thinking that god awful office block on the corner. Not sure what it is called or what it houses. I recognise the building on the left of the photo - solicitors firm?

Amazing how much we have butchered our fair city.

Close enough. It's the TSB office block now at the corner of North Road and Gloucester Place.

There have been some wonderful buildings - that villa included - that have been demolished to make way for some real dross, though to be fair Telephone House, which replaced it in 1937, was a decent example of Art Deco architecture.

It certainly looks like one of the old streets off Trafalgar Street that were demolished to make way for the flats. White Street or Redcross Street I think?
