These threads always throw up more questions ?!!!

As the OP was alluding too, probably, where were you in the the 5yr - 15yr age range when your team is gifted / thrust / lumbered on you ?

Is it strictly Brighton, within the unitary council boundary? For example, Southwick, Shoreham and Peacehaven will be somewhere else in Sussex.
This above - where is where ? pre 1997 Hove is not "Brighton"

Born in Brighton - lived half-way between Hassocks and Hurstpierpoint until Uni
There is no halfway between Hassocks or Hurst - you either drank 75% of your time one or the other white horse or Hassocks hotel ? once you have reached the top of wickahm hill your are in hassocks

It's time to discover just where our fanbase come from (not where you live now, but where you were brought up), in the time-honoured tradition of a POLL.

The options are:

Brighton
Somewhere else in Sussex
Somewhere outside Sussex
Lund, Sweden.

For the record, I grew up on the Weald, just outside Uckfield.

Born in Brighton but parents moved to Kent for my Dads job when I was just 7. Luckily we visited my Grandfather every few weeks and he introduced me to the delights of the Albion.

Born near Newcastle (mum is from Yorkshire, dad from Middlesex), most of my childhood in south London, most of my adult years (so far!) in Brighton and Hove. Felt pretty rootless before but have been here for well over 20 years and have gone native.

Fair enough - by that definition it’s Hurstpierpoint then - College Lane(bottom of Wickham Hill) had Hassocks as its postal address though - I’m easily confused! Any drinking was more BH or HH for me but never lived in Sussex since Uni as have always worked north of London.

Brighton Born and Bred. Maybe should change my user name to that. I can't really see an issue with it.

I live down the same road as 'the artist formerly known as HB&B' so still suffer* his ramblings via our road's Facebook group - *second hand luckily - my wife's in the group not me. Oddball

No problem.
Yes, adopted into a military family and grateful for it.
Mum's side of family come from Crowborough and most holidays and some weekends would see us travelling along the A272 in BPM226B, my Dad's Cortina Mk1 from Worthy Down to Nan and Grandad's house.
From there as a youngster there were trips to The Goldstone every so often, (also occasionally when we travelled on holiday back from Germany to see the relatives)
Was 5 years in Hollingbury not 15.

Moving to Germany at 9 was excellent, I loved my time over there. British schools, British mates, so no different to living in a community in England picked up and placed in Germany. Plus lots of new things to take in.

Not certain what you're asking Family (birth or adopted?)

Also born at the top of Elm Grove lived on the borders of Hollingbury & Patcham, I went to Carden & my my close mate who lived 5 houses away went to Patcham. After Varndean a few months in Walsall (don't ask) then back until I could no longer resist the temptations of one of the many scandinavian girls who cam Brighton to learn english, so hopped of to Copenhagen for the next 24 years and then after that to Mexico for the past 26.
