Didn't Clough score a quite ridiculous number of goals in his playing career? The sort of record that would have had him down as a complete legend if he hadn't wrecked his knee.

Just looked it up: 251 goals in just 274 games. By anybody's standards, that is PHENOMENAL. We would be weeping over a player with that sort of record in this day & age.
