The only way to stop this disgusting gravy train is to sack the TV companies, sponsors, and players agents. It makes me ashamed to be a football fan at times, wish I had been brought up to support gymnastics instead at times. BTW, thank you TB!

The problem is the BBC article which is reporting it, doesn't say the losses also include investment into the Academy, so they can be forgiven for thinking that. Neither does it mention amortisation* or depreciation* which is also taken into account.
