new stadium on the horizon

all else aside, you cant really be serious about this? are there even plans submitted? it would take 2-3 years to build anything assuming planning is waved through. are the wealthy backers planning to bribe their way through the hostile local authorities and NIMBYs? you'd be better off with renovation of Selhurst Park, that might actually happen in a couple of years.

Try as you might, I can assure you our future has never been brighter! Sensible owners, competitive budget, new stadium on the horizon, amazing academy, club legend in charge, fans united. And a squad that will play BHAFC off the park!

Amazing academy ? :lolol:

Our old tin hut on a council pitch in Hastings has produced more current England internationals than any of the shite recently turned out by Palace.

Well that's where your SO wrong, as it happens. We haven't had a pot to piss in for God-knows-how-long, but with the construction - & now completion - of our fantastic stadium we've been able to attract the calibre of manager & players that we could only dream about until recently. We're a VERY attractive proposition these days: & the success we have been having on the pitch & in the transfer market confirms this. The Albion are well & truely back, so be sure to spread the word to your deluded chums who think your perennial Championship strugglers only have to turn up to snaffle the points. Frankly, I reckon you're in for one helluva f***ing shock.

I take your point that the stadium provides a strong selling point for your club. But as for on the pitch itself? It counts for nothing, Palace could play Brighton on a park pitch (Selhurst Park, I hear you predictably cry!). I can see why you're optimistic, I would be in your shoes but the Championship isn't a league to be taken lightly - many a club in your position have come up and fallen straight back through the trap door, for every Norwich fairytale there are the far more plentiful Scunthorpe and Peterborough horror stories.

Your signings? Meh. I think you've overpaid for Buckley and Mackail-Smith at this moment in time but if they combine to get you hatfuls of goals then it's money well spent, similarly with Hoskins who has been in this league and been diabolical, though perhaps a few seasons at League 1 has made him a better player - time will tell. You do, in my opinion, come up short in terms of quality and Championship experience at centre mid and at centre back and without adequate players (and cover) in such crucial areas, it could prove to be your downfall, no matter how many goals you might score. But there are many weeks until the window shuts.

I'm certainly not taking you lightly. We can crow all we like about getting Murray off you on a free but his lack of experience is a worry, as is his attitude which I understand can be questionable. We've the experience of this division as we keep on telling you which counts for a lot. As I said, roll on 27th September when bragging rights can be rightfully obtained as opposed to the pie in the sky talking from both sides.

Its not who we have in the albion side, its how we play. Passing the ball to each other confuses english teams, saints fans even booed because they didnt understand the concept that you keep the ball and shift the other sides players about. That is why BHA are far ahead of the palace's of this world, not because of who we have playing that way

What's that? A sensible post from a Palace fan? Not allowed on here, sorry

You Palace mugs keep going on about the experience of the Championship like it is completely different game. It is still the same game, with the same ball on the same size pitch. Experience counts for precisely f*** all, if the players are good enough it does not matter whether they have played 500 Championship games or none. Millwall should surely have taught you this last year, you must have 'experienced' their team of League One players doing the double over you.

It worked in League 1, against League 1 opposition. Who's to say a similar brand with your crop of players will work in the Championship?

Completely different kettle of fish. Swansea were by far the best footballing team in the division last season but that was built on the basis of a strong and steady defence and midfield, something I'd argue you don't have.

Is this because you have not seen these players play though, or because you have not heard of them? To be honest you have no idea about our defence or midfield do you?

We had the 2nd best defence in the league last season. Do carry on.

As with any decently run team, we have signed new players to strengthen the squad to prepare for the championship. Whether the team will be successful.. who knows... certainly not supporters of other teams who know nothing of our club, but we hope players, managers and fans of other teams will think like you so we can give 'em a nasty shock!
