Just got a 46 from Portslade to Southwick, and the driver told us that they were taking all the buses off the road with immediate effect, and very unlikely to be running tomorrow.

Thought I'd let possible other bus travellers know.

We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience caused. We aim to reinstate services as soon as it is safe to do so, but this is likely now not to be until thursday morning."

not really surprised. Mile Oak has looked in a right state on the roads from about 4pm this afternoon

I thought they were taking a risk running buses out of town this evening. Some of the roads in my area were terrible as the temperature dropped. would not fancy driving an automatic transmission bus down them! Sensible option I think. Now its up to Brighton Council to try and clear the main roads tomorrow morning.

i have a 12 mile journey to work involving 2 buses, dont fancy my chances tomorrow, better still I am flying out of Gatwick on Friday, will there be a flight? will there be a train to get me to the airport?

My girlfriend was on a Bus heading from the Royal Sussex back to the train station at 20:15. It slid en-route so the driver got everyone off and put the bus out of service.
