Basically every other team has beaten them.

but that was always going to end wasn't it. How have they played against those other teams? Have they been tonked or were they unlucky (genuine question).

Unlucky to lose to QPR by a penalty apparently.

Last season for all the stability we enjoyed with a less injury blighted squad we did not exactly roll over the Clubs at the bottom of the Championship, plus drew too many games, with much stronger Albion teams.

Yes three points today would have been nice but maybe we will look back and see the point with a depleted team and no on form strikers as being useful damage limitation in our current plight? We are still around mid-table after all.

Considering our budget for this season was at least equal if not greater than last seasons and we have pretty much spent diddly squat. All we keep hearing is the same old 'FFP' talk, we seem to be the only club in this league who keep using this as a reason for not spending money etc etc.

I don't think Oscar will get the full brunt of the criticism coming but he will get some, which will be harsh in my view. I suspect Barber will get a hell of a lot of stick if we fail to win next Monday.

Signing on fees, agents fees, increased wages, loan fees (the bakary sako move from wolves - the same team we got ward from - fell through because Wolves wanted a large loan fee, and equally large permanent signing fee that totalled £5m and Forest refused. Loan signing fees are not to be dismissed, and how many loanees have we got?).

We also have to be open to the possibility that the club are being clever with their words when they say the budget is the same. With FFP, transfer fees are split over the course of the contract, i.e. Ulloa's 2m split over his 4.5 year contracts means technically, we spent 400k on him last season, not 2m. We're also spending 400k on him this season, so the money has been spent, just not in obvious transfer fees way.

Bolton a few weeks back?
Players at this level should be motivated to better themselves at all times.

Bolton was a purple patch that started 8 minutes into the second half, we actually started that half defending. As we seem to have started every second half this season.

If you wish to climb the league to a respectable level or even play offs a 0 - 0 draw at Yeovil is not the way forward.

True, but we overcame the awful results at Bristol City and Barnsley last season to finish 5th.

Always looking on the bright side
