Could have won that game though. Two awful misses by Mwepu.

Perhaps the £20m spent on him.
The £20m spent on all the 'best teenagers in the world'

Could have been spent elsewhere?

Richards doesn't have the attributes to succeed in the PL. Can't take people on. One footed. Not particularly strong. Doesn't particularly tackle. No threat in the air. Not very quick. He's making up the numbers. Yeah he's good at football but doesn't offer us anything irrespective of whether he's young or not. If he was in the Man City team he'd be tidy but he's with us, with a virtually zero goal threat and he does nothing to help us in this area. Harsh but true. He's got a nice living mind.

As I say, congratulations in judging him in minutes when it takes the coaches months. Super powers .......................

Watch us sign that young Pole in Jan for 20 million. Loan him to USG and still not sign anyone who can score goals.

I don't think Potter is emperor's new clothes, but do think he is creating ridiculous new problems for himself.

Why can't we deliver a set piece? Or defend one? Why are we so powder puff creating and taking so few chances? These are issues we've had for two years now and Potter appears clueless as to how to address any of them.

The cult of Potter really isn't interested in highlighting any of this though.

Not sure I agree. Everton were pretty good in that game. They simply outclassed us.

Wolves weren't that impressive tonight. We were just woeful, to a man, bar Sanchez.

Agreed. Everton were far better than Wolves, who looked very low on confidence until they realised they had nothing to fear from us at all.

This reminded me of late stage Hughton - and no, that’s not fully fair, I’m aware of the injuries - although lack of strikers is completely self-inflicted.

When we are 1 down and as only CF you are taken off am sure Connelly must know his time is up

Got to be off in January. I’d rather we signed any other striker. Any. At least there is a small chance they will contribute more than Connolly has over the last season or so.

Whilst we weren't at our best we didn't deserve that, but for a sloppy first 5 minutes of the 2nd half we dominated, without ever really looking like having the cutting edge to break them down. They were hanging on somewhat at the end too, another 5 minutes could have made the difference. Big game this weekend so let's keep calm and carry on.

Wolves don't concede a lot of goals so not a surprise tonight's result.

Current form is alarming. Without those two last minute goals it would be much worse. But that said. Having collated 20 points already still isn't a bad points haul. Struggling to get into the lead in matches to make teams open up needs to be a priority. Maybe worth a rethink and let teams come on to them early on and try playing on the break.

There are at least 3 teams worse easily and the odd win here and there between now and the end of the season should be enough to stay up.

I thought Brighton would have gone down this season so I think they have actually over achieved so far and that season has gone well to date.

Agreed on all except saying we create few chances. Today we didn’t create anything, but we’re usually excellent at chance creation.

You're right no-one should have an opinion about a football player particularly on a footballing message board. What was I thinking?!

This. We were ripped a new one a couple of times on the counter

Except we weren't, luckily, because they couldn't take those chances.

Any decent side would have absolutely battered us with our performance tonight. Could have been a Leeds like scoreline had we met quality opposition.
