This is it.

The commentator touched on it. Be compact in numbers centrally, Brighton CANNOT play through or over the top. Allow Brighton to have the ball out wide.

Simple, job done.

Anfield is the outlier, because Liverpool send 8 players forward even when winning. The rest of the EPL have Potter’s number right now.

Richards and Connelly are not Premier League players. The only point in playing them is potentially increasing their tiny value through the odd appearance.

Let's face it until we buy two strikers we will always be in this position or worse. Can't see how people are surprised that we are struggling to score goals when we started the season with Maupay, Welbeck and Connelly after failing again in the summer transfer market.

The good thing is that we do still create chances which was the depressing thing under CH in his last year with us when we had Murray to put away the few chances we created yet didn't have any players to feed him.

The chances we created tonight were for midfielders. Our strikers haven’t touched the ball.
I really hope we sign the right striker or two at some point. But they won’t be the ones getting on the end of the attempts from midfielders and they won’t be coming anywhere close to scoring if they never touch the ball. It’s not simply about our strikers. It’s a mentality and approach. We are not decisive enough in the final third. None of our players.

It’s a horribly unbalanced team.
Our tactics seem to be to attack down the wings.
Yet There’s been nothing in the middle all night. No height, no presence often literally nobody at all.
We’ve done well points-wise this season so far, but there are big big problems.

Spot on. We can talk all night about poor individual performances but for me, the worst performance has come from Potter.

Our strategy of pushing the play out wide hasn’t worked from the start. GP has failed fo adapt in 101 minutes.

We are looking increasingly like a one-trick pony which enjoyed a very successful start to the season.

Anyone who saw the starting line-up , and has half a brain, would have known we would struggle tonight.
Even so, it’s been very poor.
One of the many concerning aspects is that we haven’t even made (and missed) many chances.
Connolly and Trossard hardly touched it.
