I'm pleased Burn will not be LB because he is way out of his depth there in the Prem but I don't think he's good enough as CB either. Wish we would play our best players in their best positions. White should be CB in my opinion as he doesn't offer enough in CM to make us have to play Burn CB. Veltman is our best defender and should be starting every week as CB. If we need someone at RWB then I'd like to see Alzate there.

Let's face it, we just don't have a Premier League squad of players, so we'll always kick off against most teams with a major disadvantage. Without some significant investment in January, in terms of both quality and quantity, we'll probably be down by March, especially if we keep potty Potter at the helm.

This is why we need a concerted effort from recruitment to change the balance of the squad. We need less players, we need to get rid of the deadwood, and we need a RWB, maybe even one you can play on the left, a left footed defender, and a striker. It's time for a huge and well paid recruitment department to start earning their money- make some tough decisions in terms of exits and get the players in we need. If we are going to back Potter, let's actually back him. We know how he likes to play.
If you play as LB or RB in Ajax, you got the same job as a LWB / RWB. Theres none of that LB/RB nonsense with "if one goes forward, the others stays back" or similar. Attack is as important as defending. While its true Ajax play with wingers, it shouldnt and usually isnt a lot of difference as long as Connolly, the Maup and Trossard makes the runs they should be doing.
