No keeper would have saved that. We had a defender fouled as the clearance was made. Still disappointing but frankly, overall, we didn’t deserve to win.
However, missing Dunk, Veltman, Maupay, Lamptey, March, against a team pushing for a CL place. We did ok.

He showed him a hell of a lot of that side of the goal.

And do you why that is? There's another team on the pitch and when they concede they step it up a few gears to try and score. That's the nature of sport, when you're losing you try harder.

But of all the 20 clubs, we’re THE most damaged from opponents stepping through those gears.

Resilient teams far less so.

We just competed with a weakened team against a CL chasing team and should have won.

We weren’t anywhere near our best but still did enough. They scored a worldie, on we go.

1 goal conceded in the last 4 home games I believe.

That ball from Percy is what we’ve been missing you have to wonder at times.

I have been calling for Percy to play for months. I’m baffled why he’s hardly featured.

Looked excellent against City, and when he came on today we looked more dangerous. The kid has a bit of pace and unpredictability.

So you would sack Potter then?

We won't now, and frankly it's not nice to want that, BUT, we must win more games from winning positions, the mental strength to manage a game effectively must be imparted.

We create so many opportunities but score so few, where does the blame lie, for me some of it must be at Potter's door.

I really hope next season we can make that final step and be more ruthless in front of goal.

For me that's not all about another striker but perhaps woking with what we have.

25 points dropped, scary isn't it.

Anyone else think when the sub came on who’d never scored for WHU that he was nailed on to score against us? :lolol:

As mentioned above, Fornals took out two of our players before they scored so there’s no way the goal should have stood but the referee allowed it because the game meant something to them.

Biss clearance is deflected and falls perfectly for the Hammers.

Then after a moment or two, Fornals brilliantly floors both Webster and White just before the goal.

The sort of clever stuff that has gone West Ham’s way all season and gone against us in almost every game.

Tad harsh but we lost the ball when Biss let it run through his legs, then when we got it back he booted it at the back of our player and they regained the ball. We needed him to be much better twice. Hopefully the bigger clubs noticed and leave him alone!

Yes, you just wonder what we could achieve with a fit Lallana playing just behind the front two.
I thought we played pretty well tonight given the absentees. Could have taken all three points from a top 6 side. We continue to play well against the better teams but struggle to beat the lesser sides. Seems to be a problem for Potter to solve in the summer with how we get hold of a quality striker.

Great piece of play and deserves a start.

However, I remain unconvinced
