Ah thanks for that stats that shows this number of wins in 2020 up for the bullshit kneejerk reaction that it is. Do people seriously expect us to be beating all those top 6 teams? FFS.

Look a bit deeper (2019/20), we failed to beat West Ham, Burnley, Leicester, Wolves, Sheffield Utd, Villa, Watford (Relegated) and Newcastle. Still keep happy clapping,

Potter will se us through and I will be the first to praise the boy if he does. :albion2:

Well that was one of the poorest games I've seen under GP tonight, substitutes were baffling and Maupay was awful. We have a long season ahead. Not sure there are currently three teams worse than us at the moment

What you are saying is not happening though is it? People are saying things like "Maupay should be nowhere near the team", "Gross should be shipped out" etc. It is over the top vitriolic abuse in a pants-pissing manner. Crap performances happen. If it becomes a trend it is bad, but after one crap game is not the time to change opinions and tear everything down. Liverpool lost to Watford last year, that was a crap performance, should they have sacked Klopp? Shipped out VVD? Of course not. They just went "that was crap" and carried on.

Yes crap performances happen to all teams, even Liverpool, but they have a habit of brushing themselves down and getting back to winning ways. We have won 4 in 23 starts, and like it or not that's worrying and as you have benchmarked "bad" if you think it has become a trend - and I do, as it's not just one crap game. Had the club had a viable fit and in form alternative then I believe Maupay should and would have been rested as he's desperately out of form - it happens. Gross is way past his best for us and yes should have moved on with our thanks in the summer.Burn has done fantastic and probably can't believe the number of premier league starts he's achieved as he was brought as CB cover from a poor Wigan side. March can never beat his man on the outside - but I still like March. Trossard has moments of genius but is one of the laziest players when it come to defending.I could go on and on like thousands of us will over the next few days and that really doesn't mean we don't love our club by the way. Ultimately the buck starts and stops with one man,Potter. i'm still team Potter but my faith is getting a little frayed around the edges, to say the least.

I just woke up a saw the scoreline.
Please don't tell me we were playing the second half trying to hold on to a 1 goal lead.
Got to go now.

Yes.. we should be more like Liverpool.

I know what you mean, but we need to stay grounded a little bit. We are we are and where we should be.

We are never going to have a record like Everton, Pool, Arsenal etc. We will go weeks, months without winning.

Remember, top 10 is a long term goal. I don’t think the club are expecting that this season. We will still stay up, mark my words.

Awful year, 6 wins in 30 games 1 of which was against a league one side and 1 from the championship simply not good enough.

Unlike Liverpool we've been getting away with it, the posession is a distraction from how ineffective we are in the final third. All that said perhaps tonight was a useful kick up the behind for Potter and he'll make better selectuon decisions and better tactical changes. This was always going to be a struggle...we didn't get a fit PL striker, my son still bets Solly's final decision with the ball will end up going nowhere (and he's been a lifelong fan of Solly) and we all scratch our heads as to whether Gross can still live up to his past assist ratio (he can't in the current frenetic game). So none of this is a surprise. The second half tactical changes...they were and the decisions were poor.

Did you actually read it? Newcastle, Watford, West Brom, Villa, Palace. Not a single win.

Ok just look at the results posted earlier they show: P21 W5 D7 L9 pts 22

That is over a point a game and over a season will see is on 39/40 pts. That is a decent base to start from. We only need a few more wins in there to make us a comfortable mid-table side.

How many seasons do u want to build a base ? We’ve had three and a bit so far

Oh well, another season where we are looking at 3 teams below saving us.

Big Potter fan me but how long can we go on playing well and dropping points? First half only that relates to tonight. What on earth happened at half time?

Very disappointing result. We will almost certainly lose, probably heavily without Dunk, against Spurs. Then it's Burnley at home - fail to win that and we really will be in trouble.
