We did have a weak link, it's called a goal scorer. With the amount of chances we had this should have been put to bed by half time.
Sure. But Hemed played pretty well today overall.

I agree. Defensively, he was fantastic alongside Sutner. I like the way the two of them play together. We look much more balanced with Knocky and Bruno on the right, and Sutner and March on the left.
Our central midfield worked so hard to win the first and second balls, and totally dominated them. Our only weak link was Hemed up front. He just doesn't look like he will ever score. I can't help but think if Murray was on instead, we would have won 3-0.

This.
Happy Christmas and New Year to 99% of posters on NSC.
The other 1% are just a waste of space
But compliments of the season to them too. As a gesture of goodwill.

I love all our players and I will only offer, what I believe, fair comment. I love Tomer, his application and hard work is right up there with anyone, sadly he is not Prem standard, which is sad, very sad. He also shows how much we need a goal scorer. I'm not sure Muzza is there either, hence we have gone half a season without a forward line. We need pace and an eye for goal, doesn't matter if they are as short as Defoe, so long as they do the most vital part of a game of football, score goals. I don't see any problem with us in defence or midfield, but up front, we're scrapping desperately.
Much as I want to disagree you are on the money. To play the game we do we need pace and Murray and Hemed dont have that.I love all our players and I will only offer, what I believe, fair comment. Absolutely. Can you imagine how good we would be with a proper premier league goalscorer up front. Not just finishing 17th good, I'd wager. Top half, I reckon.
As I said earlier in this thread, we'd be doing a Burnley with a goal scorer.
I don't think Hemed played badly at all. He held the ball up well, and linked up well with everyone up front. He created a few great opportunities, but he looks like a striker who has no confidence in front of goal. Maybe if he'd have scored today he would be better in future games, but the longer this goal drought goes on, the more points we are going to drop.
Why?Hope I am
Please don't forget Tomer has not had a proper run in the side, what he does do is work hard, create room, involve others, he doesn't continually break up momentum by getting offside and fouling and every 2 mins.
So for me he is first choice with Murray doing the late stint, similar to today.
