I'm not sure I'm seeing entitlement from anyone on NSC. Just a changing expectation. We smashed the end of last season and carried on at the start of this. It feels like we can compete with almost anyone. That's not entitlement.

However, when you've followed Albion for a while, you are conditioned for it to go wrong and not to get ahead of yourself. Maybe that's changing too?

I don't think we're top 4. The squad isn't deep enough. But I do believe that there's not a single side in the Prem who fancies playing us these days. Long may that continue.

Well said.

I don’t think we need fear anyone really, we’ll win a few and lose a few along the way but we seem to be able to give everyone a difficult game. It’s brilliant.

That and they have the master of the dark arts, in backing into defenders and drawing the foul.

Glenn Murray?

I really don't get the hate for Kane. He's an excellent player and provided Haaland doesn't stay in the premier league too long will end his career with all manner of premier league scoring records to go along with smashing England's all time scoring record.

That said I'll happily treat him as a pantomime villain if he wins a soft free kick against us.

We're either going to smash them because we're ****ing brilliant or they're going to smash us because we'll be wide open and they're built for the counter.

My thoughts exactly, this is not going to be a 0-0 bore draw

I don't hate him, I said he is a master, I fully appreciate his skills, I just take exception when it is against us :lolol:

He often scores against Liverpool when I watch them on TV with my scouse pal, Bob the (retired) social worker. Consequently whenever Kane's name is mentioned he pipes up with 'he's RUBBISH!'. If he scores Bob describes the goal as 'lucky' or 'offside'. :lolol:

Thank you for your sacrifice. Have you considered wearing something over the top of the outfit? It might break the run, but imagine if it didn’t!? Imagine if the magic works as long as you are wearing it, and it doesn’t matter if it’s not showing. Next season we could have an Invincible's season!! I think it’s worth the test.

Good luck

I would have thought that you of all people would have suggested wearing the underwear over the top of everything.

When we eventually lose comfortably again and are outplayed, people are going to lose their shit. I’m enjoying us at this position in the league for what it is - but we aren’t going to be in the top 4 or 6 at the end of the season. Some fans, as I say, are getting quite entitled and slightly delusional about our level.

It’s one thing being optimistic, it’s another thing “expecting” results against much bigger teams, playing European football (which we’ve never done) with a budget that eclipses ours, with a vastly more successful history.

We are well capable of beating Spurs.

Spurs are well capable of beating us.

Que sera sera! My main hope and expectation is that it’s entertaining, and that we give Mr de Zerbi a warm welcome.

Their style of play will massively test our new one. Suspect it will be too soon against a team who are expert counter attackers. Will be interesting to see if we've improved on last week and how RDZs ideas are bedding in.

I feel horribly confident which is never a good sign..hope for the best but expecting the worse, be good to get a proper look how the team set up, was a bit difficult at Anfield with a crossbar in the way and Sun in my eyes.

Same here. I'm trying to suppress it and tell myself we'll lose so as not to anger the gods.
