I’ve got Arsenal v Liverpool on in the background. The complete opposite of this game - vibrant, pacy, inventive teams. It’s a totally refreshing contrast from the dirge on my computer.

I’m pleased for him but it’s also slightly depressing watching Ben White play so well for such an exciting young side whilst we’re going back 4 years and having to endure Dunk and Duffy at the back again.

Trossard, Mac Allister and Maupay all need dropping.
Something needs to change in this squad, start giving the fringe players a bash because this lot are so ****ing boring to watch and create nothing.
Spurs have been properly shit and are still beating us. Give caicedo, mwepu and sarmiento a run out, what's the worst that can happen?

We need Welbeck and Lamptey (or Sarmiento) on soon.

Some pace and someone in the box who can at least get the shot/header on target.

So often we turn away and pass backwards.

Yep both Lamptey and Welbeck need to be on soon

Could easily have got to half time level without that deflection and we’d all be a bit more optimistic. But I get people are fed up of the accumulated results

Yeah there’s a lot of truth in this. Shockingly unlucky goal. But they’ve been almost as bad as us and we’ve had our moments of positivity.
Problem is we don’t actually look like scoring, even from a lucky deflection.

“Brighton - not a single shot on target”, “A goal that befits this match so far, but difference is Spurs happy to take a speculative shot from outside the box and they’ve got a goal for it…” and other so pre match predictable comments from the pundits watching us.

We are so shit, it’s not funny. If I see another midfielder (cause they’re all as bad) turn inside, go backwards, get the ball stuck under their feet and lose control and then the ball I’m going to cry. And please, Biss NEVER EVER TRY TO SHOOT AGAIN. You can’t do it mate. There is simply no point. Hit it sideways into touch. It’s less dangerous if the opposition gets a throw in than a goal kick.

I almost dread us getting a penalty at the moment, as I just know we'd blow it.

The problem for me is its hard to see that we'll score even, never mind win. Its the same old thing game after game.

We don't kick the ball hard enough or quick enough to get a deflection. Sounds ridiculous but it's true.

This simply isn’t working

Time to blood some of the new generation

Sariemento for March

Lamptey for Trossard

Let’s at least have some options

F***ing hell, I never realised how depressing it is being on the match thread when a home game is on. I am so glad I renewed my season ticket and promise not to get Covid again and miss a match next season.

It does explain one or two posters on here :albion2::albion2::albion2:

Agreed. I have never been a fan of Maupay. He is wrong mentally: tries too hard; final pass/shot hurried. Trossard has completely lost it. Basically, we have no-one who can score a goal. If thats the case, may as well ring the changes.

All so depressing. Commentators discussing the empty stadium as much as the game. This team just looks clueless. Something isn’t right here, all the structure of the team has gone.
