That just isn’t true. We looked much better second half up to the red than the last 25 mins of the first. That red changed the game 100%.
I don't think so, we lost the cutting edge up front. That was first half hour or so and before Dahoud got sent off they were already a lot more back in game and pushing, our momentum in the final third had gone. It was already a bit flat.

Passing across the back to Gilmour/Dahoud and back again, was plenty but we didn't really look like getting second imho as the pace had slowed and not moving ball forward quickly enough.

First 30 mins, the pace and movement was exceptional and they couldn't live with us.

Should have started with a stronger team. Put the game to bed then bring on the second string.

Only seen the sending off live but looked very little in it. Just looked like he was looking to protect the ball.

Maybe im wrong about that, but even so, i don't see this as a loss which is on dahoud. Without some abject finishing, the game is long gone.

I hope the club is analysing closely the injuries we're getting, as it seems a stupid number. The rotation isn't having the desired effect. Could it even be contributing?
Re the sending off there's been a lot of guff on here about it. He did what a CM does, use his body to protect the ball and bring it away from the player. Unfortunately it was mistimed and his foot went down the back of the players leg- literally the only place that makes it a red. Clumsy yes but let's not make Dahoud a scapegoat.

Perhaps give the club a call and see if they'll pass on your suggestion to RDZ?

Considering the team we started with we battered SU first half - just didn't put the game to bed sadly. We've had far worse first halves this season with a supposed stronger starting 11

It looked similar to the ones Andone used to get in trouble for.

I’ll have to lower my expectations I guess. Hoping for a draw when we go up to Sheffield. Fingers crossed, hope thats not entitled.

This.

They have made half the changes we have and still can perform 3 days later.

It’s would be interesting to see our pressing stats, distance covered etc compared to them. Could just be a case of them playing a style of football that is much less intense.

Or it could be down to them being luckier with injuries than us. We’re bemoaning our lack of finishing today whilst we have Ferguson, Enciso & Welbeck all out. March too, who was chipping in with goals before his injury.

First half warning signs were there . Battered them for 25 then sheff united started getting a bit of the ball , corners , free kicks etc .

2nd goal would of stopped it all

"Hey, Roberto, we have had several fans call to say you should've started a stronger team and put the game to bed."

I would have more sympathy if he was the hard man CM breaking up the play and saving us every game but he's soft as they come. Needless lazy challenge in a crazy position with absolutely no danger, should never give the ref that decision to make. He's not just an escape goat heh, he's gone full pariah there for me

We saw it time and tine again with the two previous managers,.. dominated 20-25... then handed over the baton to the opposition....

I'd make the argument that too many of you are satisfied with a point.

Utd are dross. Hands down the worst side in the division. They too suffer from a crippling injury list. If we can't pick up 3 points against this shower, where are we suppoaed to get them? Forest? Behave. We'll be lucky to come away with a point ourselves at this rate.

Were they really there though? Didn't test Steele at all and we were still very very comfortable. Are we really that entitled now that we expect to have 95% of possession throughout an entire game? The sending off is what changed the game entirely - nothing else.

People can rightly allude we played Thursday and have a long injury list, but Sheffield United have too, loads out 2 up top including Brewster (having returned from long lay off) and McBurnie.

Here is a list of players that were either injured and unavailable or were clearly not fit enough to start (remember some very tired bodies after Ajax).

1. Dunk injured
2. Pervis injured
3. Lamptey injured
4. Milner injured
5. March injured
6. Enciso injured
7. Ferguson injured
8. Welbeck injured
9. Moder not played for 18 months so clearly not fit
10. Mitoma - was absolutely shattered after Ajax so not fit
11 Veltman see mitoma
12 Pedro was cramping badly with ten to go vs Ajax so no way fit enough.

Have I forgotten anyone?

8 first team players injured and completely unavailable. That includes four players who can play full back with one other full back not fit enough to start. Plus of course our captain and 4 forwards (5 if you include march as I have full back too) and 4 of them were very regular starters when fit.

I would love to see any team cope with that many injuries and players running on empty.

Every season the Albion goes through a drought of wins and mostly end up finishing better than the season before

I look forward to your post explaining why that’s a good result and why we should be satisfied.
Maybe because we are not City, Arsenal, Liverpool or Newcastle. We dont have the quality in depth that they do. We are BHAFC a top half premier league team who are also playing in a European competition. Look how far we have come since Hereford. We held out for a draw with a player less, yes we should have had the game finished by half time but we didn't.

Our fan base since last season is Embarrassing. So many entitled idiots who think we should be a consistant team challenging for P L title.
