It didn't sound very good on the radio, esp Norwood and later Skalak.

I just think Saturday is a MUST win match now, THREE losses already this season and all the SWAG gone out of the team. If I WAS Chris Hughton I'd stick my BOOT right up a few BACKSIDES tonight or he will be facing the CHOP soon

He wont give them a boot up the backside for that. Tonight was about getting a look at the fringe players in competitive match situation and seeing how the lads coming back from injury were. The result really was irrelevant. We can concentrate on the matters in hand now and concentrate on the league

Just on the train back from the game, not overly concerned about the result to be honest, what I am concerned about is the following:

- What has happened to Glenn Murray? He's a shadow of himself the past few weeks.

- Sam Baldock, terrible this evening, MOM? Not in a million years.

I'm genuinely concerned that not one player stood out tonight and said to CH 'I deserve to be in the starting 11' seriously we were terrible.

If Kayal or Stephens get injured we are seriously screwed, Sidwell, Ince and Norwood were shambolic tonight.

People will say 'it doesn't matter, it's only the cup' but I'm afraid it does matter, too many fringe players showed tonight we simply don't have the depth of squad that is needed in The Championship IMO.

Disagree. Hit the bar, number of very good chances straight at keeper or on the line. Very concerned that we have 3 months with this strike force. Midfield don't look like chipping in with any goals either

Stats, past records

Norwood and Kayal only have about a 7% chance of scoring each and Baldock at 20%.

Sidwell and Stephens are at about 14%.

Yes yes yes, but enough about Reading. Why couldn't we have won with our 2nd team?

agree with this. even more worrying was that we had hemed murray baldock skalak and murphy on the pitch for 25 mins against 10 men and were woeful up front - not to mention how very woeful we were before the subs came on. we are ****ed up front. not buying a striker is gonna cost us big.

the best player all night was Elvis - thats tells you all you need to know.

Reserves but to be fair that was not your full strength side either. Good luck with the draw for next round but for me tonight just shows what a pointless shambles this competition now is.

Slight alteration

Are you of Sunday League Standard and can look interested - if so you're in the team on Saturday:)

Worrying. Only 11 changes. Mostly reserve team, only three third team players at the start. We did have 11 players though, not 10.

Only Murray and Baldock are considered first team starters, in fact along with Hemed they are our only three forwards.

Well done tonight, Swift looks like he can play at a better standard than our league.

Just got home. The above is very accurate.

Tonight the impossible was achieved Norwood made Ryan Harley look like a world beater!

A rare intelligent post amongst all the predictable 'tinpot don't care' type responses that aren't convincing anyone. Plenty to get concerned about tonight and in recent League performances. Goal and even shot shy Albion in recent Autumns is almost as predictable as thenleaves falling off. We know what it takes to get out of this league and our striker problems now seems set for it's fifth consecutive season...

And there lies the problem I'm afraid. The failure to bring in a goal scorer in the last transfer window may well be our downfall.
I think we tried to, hopefully we can keep in touch until January and finally land one. Skalak and Knockaert arrived last January which gives me a bit of hope.

he didn't play any of the players who really make the difference between winning and losing. Doing well in this competition is NOT what Chris has set his sights on this season. You all know what our goal for this season is
