Happy with that, stopped the slide a bit and only Roma to stuff 5.0 and we can have our feet up for a few days, well done lads.

With the way that we've been defending, a 1-0 feels much better than a 4-3 thriller.

Job done.

Delighted with that. And very pleased to see us grind out a result and use some sensible game management. Rather lucky with VAR on Moder’s challenge. If WBG’s was red then I’m shocked that wasn’t too (not complaining).
Feels like a huge result. Suddenly, a clean sheet, a goal and back in contention for the European spots. We couldn’t do a. Oracle Thursday could we? Could we?

Bit of a slog but the clean sheet and three points are most welcomed right now.
Baleba really starting to settle.
Veltman and Bart makes us more solid.

Rode our luck. Second half wasn't a great watch. Could have been another Sheffield Utd/Everton/Fulham home game, so happy to come away with a result. Team look knackered so a rest after Roma is welcome

Don't think we win today without Verbruggen. Give him the rest of the season please.

3 points main thing but which of those 2 sides is 4th bottom ?

Lallana helped as baleba can’t play with his face to our goal when being pressured

Fati waste of time

Anyone better than forest and we drop points

Moder lucky

Really good result after a tough week. Pinching a 1-0 win is so last season. Does make you think, what if we could have held on v Sheffield United and Fulham. Still better late than never!

See if you play a GK that stops shots rather than one that does not you keep a clean sheet and get the 3 points
But still a toothless attacking performance again. Without an OG we’d be without a win, again

Funny, all the talk of our poor form, injuries, etc - understandably so - and here we are sat in 8th a point off the Ammers- would've snapped your hand off at the start of the season to be in this position at this point knowing how often teams of our size struggle in the league when handling Europe too. 🙂

Agree, Verbruggen has played has earnt it at this point.
Form seem to have much of an effect on who we have between the sticks from game to game.

It’s frustrating from a fans perspective; it must be even more so for the keepers.

I tell you what that is a win and a half! Completely up against it with injuries and fatigue after European away on Thurs. Not pretty second half but huge effort from all of them 💙🤍

I thought we managed the game out well. If you’re playing badly (“or not at your best” to use a kinder sounding euphemism) at least be sensible - something we definitely didn’t do against Roma, who to be fair have much better players.

There seems to be a real lack of confidence in our attacking play (Enciso being the exception - the lad is walking confidence personified). Lamptey had moments too, so much of our play lately is backwards when in fantastic positions we’ve worked hard to get in to.

I know the “Albion are always in the right” brigade will disagree with me, but really the game hinged on Moder’s yellow card. Massive shades of Dahoud against Sheffield United - underwhelming home performance against a poor side changed by a 70th minute red.

It absolutely should’ve been a red - a pretty clear one too and an awful foul. We’ve really gotten away with that one today, which IMHO would’ve changed the game.

Delighted with the scrappy 3 points and clean sheet when we are at a low point.
