It is a rather damning statistic that after 10 league games we are still awaiting one of our recognised strikers to score in the league
I think most felt it was very different this time round, though. We'd continued our superb form at the end of last season, playing fantastic football and finding the net regularly. Really felt we'd turned a corner. The start of last season we got a bit lucky at the beginning of the season. Very early days with RDZ and I've not lost any hope in him coming good for us but it's so frustrating to have lost all momentum we had.Without checking last year's results, wasn't it around the same time of year?
We had one and we sold him to Everton. Leaving us with none. What we need is 3 strikers who'll score up to 20 goals between them. At the moment we have 3 strikers who'll score up to 0 goals between them.
We're drew, dear friendwere loose
My point was spending £30 million of Tony's money doesn't guarantee goals. Is that an argument never to buy a striker? I see it a lot and it makes no sense at all.
But he has gone, if we had Haaland up front we might have won but we dont. Potter f***ed off.If Potter hadn’t of gone- we’d have won that game fact
Did you complain when we spent £20m on a LWB? Welbeck looked woeful tonight and he has zero credible competition for his place. My point was spending £30 million of Tony's money doesn't guarantee goals.
We have options like Undav and Ferguson but don't give them time on the pitch.
So who is this striker. Is that an argument never to buy a striker? I see it a lot and it makes no sense at all.
Great Post, couldn't agree moreSo, we’re back to a problem that we’ve had under CH, GP and now RDZ. CH never figured it out, it took GP two years to figure it out. I’m not ready to write RDZ off after a handful of matches.
Our team are good at football, we’ve dominated the match, we have (as we do) failed to score. I agree with others that RDZ could make changes earlier. (Maybe 2 or 3 changes at a time to unsettle opponents)
We have to stick with the man that Tony’s chosen. He’s got a horrible gig, coz we didn’t want the last guy to go. He’s got to learn the language, get his team in, get everyone settled, get settled himself and he doesn’t get a pre-season to work with the team.
Keep the faith. Tony’s not a mug, we’re going to have to endure more of this before it comes right, but RDZ seems a bright guy who wants to get it right. The boos tonight were understandable out of frustration (I was watching from the sofa - if I’d fought my way out to the Amex midweek I’d be a bit pissed off too) - but the boos are so counterproductive.
We have to bite our tongues a bit and give him the time and space to work things out for himself. The players on the whole haven’t played badly, they deserve our support.

What do you mean? Do you think I advise the club on transfer targets? Do I have access to world data bases of players form and numbers? Do I have my own team of scouts? Lol dumb responseSo who is this striker.
Eze, Zaha and Olise are better than our forwards.Palace ahead. Their forwards are light years ahead of ours. So disappointing.
They are shite mate.My point was spending £30 million of Tony's money doesn't guarantee goals.
We have options like Undav and Ferguson but don't give them time on the pitch.
Ah, but do you mean the Potter that left for Chelsea, or the one that arrived from Swansea? If Potter hadn’t of gone- we’d have won that game fact
Mug.Great Post, couldn't agree more
It's an incredibly rare (completely unique?) situation that a team in 4th gets their high performing manager poached. Really tough situation to come in to.
Your the one saying about buying a striker, as if it was so easy, i thought u knew one. What do you mean? Do you think I advise the club on transfer targets? Do I have access to world data bases of players form and numbers? Do I have my own team of scouts? Lol dumb response
