Oh, are we still in the Premier League? I thought we'd been promoted or something into this European League. Oh well, back to reality and the bread and butter games that get us into that super league.
Practice for Dublin in May?
Smug Eddie knows how to play us so I hope RDZ has a plan C.

Aaaaargh, the Curse of Smug Eddieā€¦ I hate this sodding fixture (having loved it when they couldnā€™t beat us for toffee, of course) - sadly, heā€™s an excellent manager and has had the measure of RDZ so far.

Oh well, letā€™s hope we score more goals than the sportwashers this time out. Always rather liked Geordies, generally, but their vile masters mean I donā€™t think much of their club these days - and the fansā€™ oh-so-easy acceptance of the Saudis doesnā€™t deserve much respect either. Kind of shameful.

3-2 to the good guys, I reckon, though Iā€™m not entirely sure why.

Starting a revolution from my bed
They will press us high like they did at their ground last season. Sadly, they were the best team we faced who employed that tactic, their team is full of big, physical runners who are disciplined too. Hopefully RDZ has something to counteract it as they even managed to prevent our out ball - the long pass to the wingers - last time.

Brighton factually.....
Monumentous day for myself today
First watching the Albion in 77 when my uncle took me to a game, I became a fan, then the family moved up to Wigan, I went to the odd game and then started following the Albion mainly to away games from about 85, I moved to Manchester at 16 and London at 21 and I continued following the Albion and going to more home games, but still mainly away games. Then when we knew we were having a child, we sold our flat in Camden and moved back to Brighton, at last my home, a young child, in nursery and a wife that still travels to Camden for work, meant I could and we could go to more games as a family, but the weekends are precious with a young child and family with us both working and our daughter in breakfast and after school clubs, as a good father it was only right I spent time with the family watching her grow and become an Albion fan, going to probably 10 games a season together and few on my own, along with playing a decent standard of football #prouddad.
Well now, she is nearly 14 and does not need me as much, I am no longer cool, I have time on my hands (in-between running her around still of course)

I got myself my very first season ticket, ok I had to miss the first two games as we were on holiday, but still, this is massive for me.
also bagged three home games with my daughter for the Euro games, so cool....

So blame me if we lose today.

Feeling of impending doom on this one
Me too. Klippety has a 100% record against Little Ted, and he seems to have the same results against us.

We were also knackered last time out against them after so many big games in a short space of time at the end of the season...

We've had a magnificent few days - Gross getting a call up to the German squad, Dunk getting into England, signing Baleba and, unbelievably, Fati, getting drawn against Ajax, Marseilles and AEK Athens in our maiden European campaign, even that new European shirt - however I have a feeling of impending doom about this game.

Newcastle are a team of absolute units who don't stop working and running but are also a decent footballing side. If Luton, Wolves and West Ham can run through our midfield at seeming will then Newcastle have the potential to run riot through it. We're going to need to be really on it today otherwise we could end up having our arses handed to us. I hope I"m just being a big old negative nancy but Guimares, Joelinson and Tonari really worry me.

Yeah you can buy 2 tickets in your own name. You don't even need to put his name down to get the tickets.

Much as I like and respect Dan Burn it would be nice to see him turned inside out by Mitoma and Solly today...
Dan Burn is rapidly becoming Smug Eddie Mk II for me ā€¦ so yes šŸ˜‰

Shame itā€™s too soon to field Fati with Welbeck out, we could have used the extra muscle up front

- itā€™s a low or nil scoring draw today I reckon - will have to fight hard for anything more than that
