We lack a finisher, a good point all things considered but despite last weeks pleasant surprise we're in the same position we've been in the last 4 years.

Last weekends historic result was fun, but to put it in perspective look at Todays match with Brentford.

I was looking from north middle - I'm telling you now the west lower, west upper and east upper were mostly full, as was east lower towards away fans. East lower towards North loads of empty seats

Family stand, lots away on holiday ? Our row is hardly ever full was today though (WSL)

Can put slight frustration at not winning to one side, we looked very good much of the time. Sanchez had very little to do, Pope was probably MOTM.

Back from the match.

Newcastle shaded the first half ,the Albion battered them second half. Could easily been 3-0.

All that money spent by the Geordies and they were hanging on and time wasting. They stole a point.

That was a good performance against a decent and well managed side.
Please let 'Brighton rue missed chances' be a one off this season though. Not again!

I thought in the first half that Howe and, of course, Ashworth had done their homework. Welbeck was too isolated and we rarely had an out ball. We were, however, tremendous in the second.

So, another game where we've dominated possession, had two quite variable 45s, had more shots and better xG and not won.

It's ok. I'm used to it now and 4 points from first two games which were tough ones on paper is a good return.

Really like the look of Mitoma going forward. He's going to cause defenders all kinds of problems this season.

Two small moans, neither of which warrants a thread on its own and both of which were related to today's unprecedented temperatures;

1) Why do they shut the queue for the outdoor bars so early?

and

2) Cashless is a total PITA for me personally. The Boy at 15 is too young for booze and a regular bank account but too old to hang around outside the ground with old fogeys in a beer queue. Therefore no way for me to get him bottled drink and hot dog until I got in the ground. It's a minor thing and only affects people with those circumstances but is nevertheless very annoying. Particularly when vendors around the ground and The Swan ONLY take cash!

Just now getting home(Had to deal with some prett significant personal stuff out of town) but from I have read and from the little I was able to keep up with, sounds like we deffo were the better team and if not for Pope, easily should have gotten 3 points.

Overall though, 4 points against Man United and Newcastle is nothing to sniff at, and I like how we are approaching this season thus far. Mitoma sounds like he is really going to be a valuable part of the team this season.

Up the Albion.

My 8 year olds got a go Henry account, plenty of options out there.

All of his chores are assigned a monetary value and they are chalked off when complete. He’s got 20% of his credits auto assigned to a savings account.

The value of money and the ability to budget / save will be key for the next generation based on the world they will inherit

Brentford could only do that to Man Utd because we broke them.

Good team performance against a very solid side. Deserved the win.

March, Gross and Lallana were all very good today but all three should have scored

I saw it completely differently.
I thought everyone, except Lallana, was a little off but the team collectively were good.

A lot of missed passes and tackles - obviously shooting too, but we're used to that.

Pity we couldn't get all 3pts but a great 2nd half where Newcastle were hanging on. Plenty of times in previous seasons we'd have lost to a sucker punch. Playing like we did in the 2nd half will get us plenty of wins

Get him a prepaid visa card you can load up. If you know anyone who works in Fintech they can probably point you in the right direction :lolol:

Same old issue need quality striker 0-0 at home need a goal and GP looks like he doesn’t rate Undav. With Maupay off hopefully one will come in.

My first game in the flesh since we beat Huddersfield 1-0.

Thoroughly enjoyed it even with the slight sense of vertigo I had as I took my seat at the back of the West Upper. I thought we were a bit off it in the first half, misplaced passes, poor positioning etc but still had the best chances. Second half we were excellent. Some of the football was fantastic, you guys with S.T's are spoiled!

I loved watching Lallana. He's good on t.v but magnificent live.

I'm not so sure, we had at least a couple of goal line clearances, their GK made some excellent saves, sometimes it doesn't go your way. I would say though that if Lallana can shoot towards the goal, but away from the GK, that would be helpful.

Almost entirely agree…..but I see PG’s miss as one that sticks out rather than AL
