Just an overall lack of quality in that second half. Complacent at times. We could have been 2-0 up and it would still have ended at least 2-2 if you ask me.

Potter should be going bonkers at them.

Its a bit concerning that the ref missed two crucial decisions in the game with VARs helping him out.

Walking football second half so fecking slow surely GP can tell them to move the ball quicker. A good start played more direct and won games gone back to last seasons shite.

Very reminiscent of our awful (shit) show at home vs Sheff utd last season, who I were down to 10 men and we still nearly lost... We really, really struggle to light up against the less champagne teams in the PL, always have. However, beat Villa and we'll all be banging on about the top six again ... lol

Today we moved a point closer to Man Utd... in and around the top 6... regardless on the media 'toon' love in, we (stats) wise took them apart for 60 mins and then chose to sit on it... hmmmmmmmmmmm you would think we'd have learned from the 3 billion other times we've tried that one and failed.

Still, life goes on.

Well, that was a load of crap. But best to get it out of the system at this stage of the season. Pity about the red card for Sanchez, but he saved us a point.

I genuinely don't know what to make of that.
We looked comfortable, professional and in control of the first 45, despite a lack a clear chances. The penalty was justified and taken well, and we went in a deserved 1 - 0 up - no question.
What concerns me is the attitude we seem to have, when having the lead - the lack of killing-off a game by going for a 2nd goal, and the very oft mentioned 'dicking around at the back'......FFS...why do we keep doing it? Don't get me wrong, I think Potter is probably the best manager we've ever had, but by God, he HAS to tell the players to stop doing it...game....after game...after game. Is it really that hard to not do it?
Complacency was a word used in a previous post, and we are so guilty of that - even if we're only one goal up.
It has to stop, or all the good work we've done thus far, this season, will be rapidly undone.
Newcastle were/are nothing special, but they showed so much more commitment than us, in the second half, which is inexcusable.
Overall, a thoroughly depressing 2 points dropped, and all down to the way we came out second half, against a slightly improved Newcastle.
A wasted opportunity.
Again.
Grrrrr!!

Newmarket.
With all his Man Management Psychology Influencing qualifications how is it that Mr Potter can get the team to raise all parts of their game against the big boys yet give such a poor account of themselves (regularly) against totally turdular opposition?

God, I was there for that. Me, my boy and 998 other poor sods. It was indeed reminiscent.

I remember it clearly, as my dad is a sheff utd fan... I remember them going down to 10 and thinking we'd finally get one over Wilder... yep, that was the script. We were gut wrenchingly awful that day, deserved to lose and (yet) almost snatched it at the death.

That's it though, football doesn't adhere to the script... I thought we'd win tonight, but getting a second goal prior to 60 mins or so was vital... we didn't and the inevitability of a defeat crept into my thinking... luckily we got away with it. However, yes we were poorish BUT we were still the better team over 90 and need to find a way to win when playing badly if we intend to be a top 10 team.

I await Villa with interest, especially as we're going to either give a debut to a GK or go with Steele and his random performance generator.

Still, somehow or other we're in the top six tonight?!? Life isn't all that bad :)

Another delightful away following giving it the big one on the steps towards the coach park

They’ve made up a little song for Bissouma and calling Albion blokes with their kids nonces. Classy outfit indeed

Can’t wait for Yorkshires finest

You are 100% right, life isn't bad. But we should have buried the Toon tonight. I worry about our team's finishing skills. We look weak TBH.

It's not so much that we lack a killer instinct; it's more that we're not familiar with the ****ing concept.
