Not sure Chris understood my email.
When I asked him to get the team pumped up for the city game, I didn’t mean for him to make it an all or nothing game ... durrrr

After watching this bafflingly uninspired display so far, I am further convinced that Alireza is the problem

There is something wrong with the team. The ball-watching, jogging, lack of effort, lack of forward progress, lack of closing down, defensive holes, poor passing, lack of counterattack, is clearly not a player-specific problem. Hope games like this show this is a tactical and training issue, not a "why didn't we get CR7 with our 17mil" issue.

Traditionally we tend to blame players that are actually on the pitch, at a stretch, on the bench.
This is brilliantly untraditional, even for the match day thread.

This could be a cricket score. Even if we were safe there'd be no excuse playing like this. Every single one of them should have their wages fined for incompetency. One win from safety and they don't even look like they give a f***. Can't help but feel that CH is partially to blame for installing a negative mindset in the players, but this is more than depressing. Looks as though total apathy has set i amongst the players. Utter embarrassment. They aren't playing for CH anymore. Wankers

You can, negative tactics can remove all morale.

and talent from a professional footballer on around 30 k a week ? really ..? how much more inspiration do they need , we are not defending a point anymore....we are staring down the barrel of relegation and these norberts are mincing around like they are safe in mid table or they just don't give a shyte.

We can play “Chris’s post-match interview” bingo.

“Newcastle are a well-organised side”
“I thought we started well, and were unlucky to concede early on”
“Newcastle have a lot of quality”
“We showed a lot of character, and deserved a point”
“The players are disappointed, but we’ll now look for a response next week”
“People need to understand the level at which a team like us are at”
‘We’ve still got two more games to turn it around”

Etc, etc.

Very few attacks from the left flank. Very few attacks....

He's had no opportunity to get started and is surrounded when he does because Shelvey has put a fence round the middle of the park with a sign that says 'No home players allowed'.

They just don’t seem to care.

That’s what hurts. If we lose because we’d played our hearts out, so be it. But it’s just pathetic, disinterested, passive rubbish.

At Wolves and Spuds they did care. Put them on the Amex pitch, and it’s like rabbits in headlights.

Have we decided our best chance is to park the bus at the Emirates and hang on for a point there?

Ducking disgrace.

I never slag my team off, or agree with bed wetters........but that was shit. The players do not become bad overnight. the manager is being ultra negative, does our form coincide with Dan Ashworth joining us? Something has to change. Either lose Ashworth or Hughton, or both. Barber is there to make the hard choices for nice bloke Tony. Time to earn your corn Paul

Considering the way we have been playing the crowd seems to be taking it all quite well....
I’d like to see some anger from the crowd as CH is incapable of anything.
