Really, when you look at it, if we're all honest with ourselves we really deserve to go this season... We've been awful to watch, ball crushingly hopeless at this level and, well, we're only delaying the inevitable if we fluke survival this time around. We're lost, devoid of confidence and unable to compete in the PL.

The real sadness is the inability to turn things around, after losing all three off our " Must Wins " against Stains, 'Muff and the Taffs there was talk after each about the players showing character and responding for the next match, all that seems to happen is they try to get defensively tighter and even less likely to get in to the opposition half. This last third of the season has been truly awful, on these performances we genuinely deserve to go down.

Unfortunately, I tend to agree. Also, how come we can put in a reasonable performance against the likes of Spurs and Wolves and yet are so devoid of anything against teams more our level?

It's got me thinking that the players want him out... this performance reeks of dressing room unrest. Tony is clearly a very patient and forgiving man when you analyse our recent home 'performances.' Surely, however, even he can see Chris has lost the passion from his players, regardless of tactics the players energy levels are miles of what is required. In another postcode actually.

Chris, you’re a nice guy, and we will always love you for what you’ve done for us in the last 3 seasons, but now, please go. You’re no longer any use.

According to TSN, we’ve had one touch in the Newcastle box so far.

“Newcastle able to just stroke it around.”

“Every decision is two seconds too late. Newcastle are under no pressure at all. Somebody’s turned the sound down too, I can’t hear the crowd at all. At the moment, they look a dispirited, disjointed football team.”

Utter dogshit. Gross is crap in midfield, Stephens doing nothing to get the team going forward, Kayal too many mistakes.

Why isn’t Bissouma playing?

Duffy, Kayal, Gross, Izquierdo, Stephens and Hughton you have been a disgrace to your club and profession in that 45 minutes.

Jesus, moral is going to be so ****ing low in the summer. Assuming we stay up, we could relegated by Christmas unless there is wholesale changes on and off the pitch.

After watching this bafflingly uninspired display so far, I am further convinced that Alireza is the problem

There is something wrong with the team. The ball-watching, jogging, lack of effort, lack of forward progress, lack of closing down, defensive holes, poor passing, lack of counterattack, is clearly not a player-specific problem. Hope games like this show this is a tactical and training issue, not a "why didn't we get CR7 with our 17mil" issue.
