People need to stop worrying.

The gap is 7 points with GD - Brighton are going up.

Newcastle should be miles ahead, and who cares if you go up in second.

I always thought if they got one they'd nick a second before the end.

Was a decent game and not much in it, but our passing was so sloppy in the 2nd half that we were gifting them possession constantly.
Can't complain about the result, think they were worth a couple of goals.

Free speech yes - but free speech does include the right to spout rubbish! Injury meant he couldn't replace all three anyway. Hemed for Murray in the later stages might have been a good move, but maybe that would have been the third substitute had Poco not been injured.
But you have to react to the performance on the pitch - Hemed for Murray would have been the first voluntary sub for me.

True. Experienced pros like Sidwell and Stephens making bizarre passes to Newcastle players really didn't help us. Stockdale & Bruno also guilty of this.

I think we need a sports psychologist in, our players always seem to crumble when the pressure is on.
If that was true, we wouldn't have won every game in which we'd gone in front, or beaten every other top 10 team we'd faced at home. I don't know why we gave the ball away so often, but I think Newcastle got their tactics right. Dale Stephens is a central midfielder, so I started getting worried when he started dropping back to take the ball off Stockdale's feet like some sort of quarterback, but that seemed to be the only time he could get his foot on it in spells where we were under pressure.

It's not over.

Although Sky and the BBC etc. Will claim it is - obviously, it's what they do.

I sense we were both lucky and unlucky tonight, on balance probably a fair result.

Sky "are Brighton getting sucked into the playoff places"

FFS!

Is it too harsh to say that the presence of tomori has put the jitters on the whole team? Feels that way to me

Their winner came from Bruno's side.
I thought that he didn't do too bad 2nd half.
We gave them too much possession 2nd half.

We have to win Saturday and hope that Newcastle win too.

Could see it coming and like most said we lost our nerve with hideous mistakes Time and time again.....The best side won on the night.Could have done with some earlier subs and having 3 wing backs crocked is now an issue.

Still a long way to go and no to disheartened by this defeat :)

I'm not a negative person and always credit the players on a off day. But I'm sorry Tomori is Obika in disguise.

Have a word with yourself, he really isn't! He was poor in the first half, and he's not as good as Seb, Bong, or Liam, but he settled down well in the second half. You have to remember he is way down the pecking order, but nowhere near as crap as Obika.
