Van Hecke is defending brilliantly off the ball but some of his passes out from the back are not finding their target.

Lots of misplaced passes in this match.

We don’t seem to be as aggressive at trying to get the ball back either.

I think we all know this won’t be our preferred central midfield pairing throughout the season. And I say that as someone who respects WBG and Milner’s contributions to the team.

(At least when Milner’s in a midfield position)

Even half but good goal from us!

Milner is doing some great pressing but his passing has been very poor although that may be the pitch/weather.

Not sure that we're good value for that lead, but I'll take it.

Defending solidly but that first pass out of defence into midfield keeps missing, putting us under pressure.

Minteh more of a threat than Mitoma, João Pedro looking quiet.

Bring Wieffer, Kadioglu, O'Riley and Rutter into this team and we'd be miles ahead.

Hoofball from Steele. We're in a parallel universe.

That was the only poor sequence of play from us as well. Minute til half time and just gives it away to Onana who pings a great ball out for an attack.

Main difference is a team built over 2 years vs one for 2 games. Their press has been impressive, specifically mount. Surely they can't do it all game? Hopefully we can gel a bit more 2nd half and get another. Just worried about that space behind.
